will these gli seats fit in a 1971 02? (nt)

The answer is yes. The question is how difficult will it be? Recaro makes an adapter bracket that is flat and is the same width as the 02 stock seat mounts. From there, there are slider brackets that bolt into those. I JUST installed these in my car last night.

If you don't have those brackets, and/or that type of bracket will not fit, then you will have to do some custom fabrication to make them work.

I hope you can find someone that had those exact seats to answer you more fully though.

not easily, if they're the 3- point mount system.

if they're 'flat floor' recaros, then yes.

+1 I have a set of the grey cloth ones in my car. But Toby is very right on the 3-point mount vs. the flat floor.... Most of these were of the three point mount but on some the 3-point mount base unbolts from the "normal" flat Recaro seat.

I have a set of those from a GLI also. If yours had the electrically ajustable bases, the bases are bolted to the seats and the seats have the same mounting pattern as any other Recaro. The 320is Recaro adapters will allow the seats to bolt in your 2002 without any modifications other than you need to drill the holes in the 320is Recaro adapters out to fit the 8mm mounting bolt size on the GLI Recaros (older 320is type Recaros used 6mm bolts).
