Other radiator applications?

Consider a few things:

Do you want 100% stock look, then keep it stock with a fresh 2 row radiator.

Do you want 100% top notch cooling power, then go with a big aluminum racing radiator.

Do you want something that looks stock, but gives better cooling, then go with a 3 row radiator.

The advantage of using a 2002 specific 3 row radiator is that the mounting points are the same- no drilling, no cobbling. The other advantage is that the OEM hoses will fit. No piecing together different bits from different years/platforms.

That all said, some people have used 320i rads, some have used Pinto rads. A lot of us use Curt's Silicon garage radiators which are now available from a friend that took on the business.

Pinto didn't have a tank- they just welded the trunk floor into a bulbous shape, and put fuel into it.

Criminal, really.

But I'd use a 320 rad if it was me. too easy, too effective, too cheep.
