Mobile Tradition Dash - no lettering

Just bought a new 1-piece dash from Maximillian and found out that there is no white lettering around any of the holes for switches (Lights, Rear Defrost etc.) Has anyone tried to replicate the lettering or just left it as is....bummer.

Mind sharing with us what the dash cost? Way down the road I may have to go this route unless I can find someone here in Massachusetts who can do a decent job of recovering a severly cracked dash.

1973 2002 (parts donor)(terminal NE rust)

1974 Tii (crushed, but rising from the ashes!)

heck, its just another winter in New England - the Tii will live again!!!

The dash was $990 and shipping from Germany was approx. $75. I was getting quotes from anywhere from $1250-$2500 to have mine recovered/rebuilt.

The dash is beautiful but I'm afraid my limited brain capacity will have difficulty remembering what switch does what with out the white lettering. I'm a victim of multiple phone numbers, passwords, sign-ons etc. and I can't remember sh*t anymore.

people from Europe can do that for over 40years now, i think it won't be so hard to memorize them ;)

I scored a used crack free Euro spec one piece 02 dash for 120 Euro's at Veterama in Ludwigshafen in 2004 and mailed it back. It's now in my 74 tii, no fasten seatbelt billboard, no lettering or gearshift pattern.

If you want go to an incredible European automotive fleamarket, check out Veterama http://www.veterama.de/en/1-home.html besides the dash, I scored some new Italian 02 turn signals, Euro 02 turn signals, red tip antenna, etc... I felt like a kid in a candy store while I was there.
