engine and drivetrain the bugger runs !!

i managed to make this bugger runs. and to my absolute dismay, it runs good.I removed everything under the hood, and cleaned it deep, and painted it back a litle.

took one of my junk short block, pistons here, a head there, a dizzy here, replaced all gaskets, made sure the oil pump was good...and it fired up.

puf puf puf...it will be a smoker, but will run like a scalded cat.

i also put back most of what was missing under the hood:

-messed up wiring harness

-wrong fuel pump (larger, the oem air cleaner wouldnt fit...??)

-all fuel lines was shot

-brakes inop, now partialy working

-canister

-air cleaner

-fixed hood mechanism

rebuilded the pedal box and master assy' and cleaned the engine bay very deep while the subframe was out of there.

left to be done

-replace strut mounts

-makes the lights works and/or replace headlight sealed beams

-replace the damned Tii strut on the right (lol x4)

-replace leaking water pump

-seek for floor pans:fix them or leave them alone within the "project"

-sell it or drive the hell out of it while i install my 4 speed into my Auto 02...

peoples who worked on that car before was pure moron. nothing was right on it...

but i kinda like it to do that.

remember that car was parked 16 years without moving a single inch, and the motor seized up. I keep the dellortos...

I think i will try to sell it "as is" as a project, with the mags.

What are the licensing requirements in Quebec? I would expect it would be like California with stringent pollution inspection. Is that true?

no smog test required at all here. but since it wasnt plated for the last 16 years, it would normaly need to pass a full inspectione test, which is

-a brake test on rollers

-visual inspection of all components (they dont know a shit about theses so they will not check for smog components

-engine mounts

-play in the steering

-roundness of the tires

-working wipers, horn and properly adjusted headlight

depending on who does the inspection, he me be pure anal on details or will let it pass by easy.

Or, there is still a possibility to cheat up with that with a garage that is allowed to do inspection...he buy the car, and sell it back to me...some still accept to do that...with a modest amount of dinero and a 24 pack of beer...lol...

i think it is just bad reflection, the fenders are stock, ie, not rolled out.

Tires are 20 year old Sears winter 185 75 13 (WRONG !!)

its the next thing on my to do list. i just wanted to be able to move the car over without hitting the other cars in my driveway. rest assured i wont get on the road yet.

two new calipers, new disc and pads are already ordered.
