Spark plug wires for stock tii: any recommendations?

Since my Bosch wires haven't held up over the last 3 years (coil wire just went bad), what are you folks using?

What brand does BMW offer (i.e. from BLUNT, Maximillian)?

Are the BavAuto 8mm silicone wires any good?

I have Ireland's 8mm wires in my non-tii. I've had them in for a couple of months and they're working great. No noticeable upgrade in power, but they seem as though they'd be more durable than the Bosch set. My Bosch set cracked aat the plug boot in just a few months, and I don't drive hard.

Hey Jim -

Careful with the Bav Auto wires. I bought a set years ago. The boots fit really really tight into the head. I actually had to carve mine down a bit to get them to snap on correctly.

I was much happier with the set that I bought from Ireland Engineering. Fit way better. I keep the BavAuto wires in the trunk as "back up", but I've been very happy with the IE wires.

Those look exactly like the stock Bosch ones I have in my car. Per the ebay motors ad, they are:

Made in Germany by Karlyn-STI, renowned for plug wires.

They have been manufactured the best plug wires for over 50 years.

I've never heard of Karlyn-STI.

I thought the boots looked better than I remember (bosch) and the rubber tip on the resistors is interesting...Although I know someone who achieved the same thing with heater hose on the tips.
