San Francisco Recommendations?

JAS

Recommended Posts

Hi there - planning to be in San Francisco for holidays in mid July - any recommendations on local shops or suppliers of new / used 02 parts? Particularly interested in sourcing some dry doors or front fenders.

Thanks in advance.

If you are going to get away from the tourist spots, take a cruise through the back streets of Berkeley. There are unusual cars all through there. Around the corner from ClifBar is a well known Alfa shop. Drive up into the Berkeley hills form some panoramic views.

Not car related, but if you are wanting to escape the tourist crowds in SF(and for an good urban hike), try the self guided Barbary Coast walk. Get the book- Walking the Barabary Coast Trail, or just go to the SF Mint and look for the bronze medallion in the sidewalk and follow the arrows. You can even take the cable car back to (near) where you started from.

Oh yeah, pack a jacket. It is summer in San Francisco. See Mark Twain's quote.

Thanks everyone for your tips and recommendations. Great suggestions - will be there with my wife and son but hope to sneak away or take that unexplained "long way" back to the hotel past double O2. Have also been monitoring the local CL but its quiet at the moment. Looking forward to the trip!
