  1. Can I get some help in identifying this specific air dam? Having a hard time finding it myself. This car was built in Japan.
  2. which one is the front windshield the green one or the clear one?
  3. Hi Rick, I will take this one, PMing you now. Thanks!
  4. How did it turn out? Was it hard to do? Can we see it? I need to redo mine but thus far have found no options other than using bonds and painting it which seems crude.
  5. what is the diameter of these caps?
  6. Those are Honda Civic front seats, I had one for years lol!
  7. Looking for the best paint I can use when rebuilding my suspension and front/rear subframes and parts. Black specifically. What do you guys use? I was going to have them powder coated but will be doing some custom stuff that might make that hard to do and also painting would be cheaper. I will be sandblasting everything. What lasts the best and keeps the parts rust free? Thanks! Looking forward to hearing your ideas and learn from your experience.
  8. Instead of paying 75 bucks a piece for ones not as good as the original ones I am looking at generic ones on ebay and amazon, they sell a 7 badge kit for around 40 bucks that's the wheels, front, back and steering wheel. This is temporary until I can round up some NOS ones over time. So far I have read 82mm front and 74mm rear but not from any reliable sources so this is why I am asking.
  9. Looking for the diameter of the emblems for a 1969 BMW 2002. Specifically looking for the hood and rear by the license plate emblems on a round taillight rear end car. Not looking for the ones for the wheels. Thanks!

  11. A cheap way to do this without having to do any welding is to get a sliding ragtop (google "sliding ragtop") you can get one for around 500 bucks or so and put it in yourself. If I had not found all the pieces to mine I was going to go this route and bonus you can buy any size you want. I would have got one that was bigger than the original sunroof.
  12. Hey guys, I have a motor sitting here that I want to detail before I put it in later. I have a bit of time so I wanted to know what tips and tricks you guys have for cleaning it up. What are your tips and tricks? What cleaners do you use? What works best on the aluminum? Pictures below to show current condition:
  13. I will buy set number 1 for 35 shipped, PM incoming thank you!
  14. I found an old picture of my 1969 from way back in 1993 and it had no belt line trim. Did someone remove it or was it only on certain year cars?
  15. Are you running a stock motor and a 38/38 or does your motor have upgrades?
  16. They look like bump stops but are clear plastic, have 3 need 1 BUT would like a source to buy all four if available see pictures:
  17. I would get some foam or VHB tape and stick it to a board so you can do all the sanding and polishing without bending it then when you are done you can remove it from the board, clean up the tape and install it.
  18. My front end is mint (see below) and shipping would have cost a lot more, I am swapping out the entire rear panel for round taillights though I included a picture of someone doing the same panel replacement I am going to do.
  19. Hey, I haver 2 crappy worn out hoses connecting my brake master cylinder to the brake reservoir and also 1 connecting the reservoir to what looks like a return line. It is a 1974 and has the 2 brake lines per caliper setup. I need to replace these hoses as well as the barbs on the master cylinder, do I need to buy a new master cylinder or are there replacement pieces available for this? I also want to replace the crappy hoses, what is the best solution for this? I saw a post somewhere where someone had replaced the hoses with steel beaded hoses, is that the best way or?
  20. I sure am, I already have the 3 piece grill and the cut out I need to change the front kidney metal, I will install it when I start doing the bodywork.
  21. This picture represents the added on piece in relation to the original bumper mount that is below it. Second picture shows someone who put the original bumper mount on in the correct position without removing the larger upper mount from the 74
  22. In 1974 they welded up the existing holes for the front bumper then welded a 2x2 inch square tubing over the top of it. Cut 2 welds and you are back to the original frame rail all you have to do is drill the 2 welded up holes on each side back out. See picture below of the drivers side taken from above. The 2x2 tube is welded to the top of the frame rail you see there. Second picture you can see the holes on the frame rail.
  23. I am still lost, is there a chart that shows strut to hub to inner wheel well measurements or something? These rims measure 2.4" from hub face to outside face of the wheel These rims measure 7.25" from outside to outside edges These rims will measure 4.85" from the hub face to the rear face of the wheel These are the actual measurements with a ruler not just the specs example the 6.5" rim width is not the overall rim width but the measurement from inside the two outside lips. What do I need to do to make these rims fit? Add a spacer?
