  1. NOTE: HUGE PRICE REDUCTION 1-29-24 Pictures and list are accurate below. OK, this is a combination of what came with my car, what I have bought from multiple people on this forum over the last year and what I have purchased brand new online (with receipt see pictures). This is every single thing you need to install a Golde sunroof except for what is welded to the car and the moving panel. Before you ask I welded up my sunroof yesterday, that is why I am letting these parts go. Used parts list here: 4 of the OEM fiberglass friction reducing gaskets (complete set) 1 OEM rubber gasket (2 pieces but in usable condition) 9 pieces of the aluminum cable track surround (complete and they come with EVERY SINGLE SCREW to attach them) 2 sunroof cranks, 1 is Golde 1 is unbranded both work 7 knurled nuts (4 is complete set 3 extra) 4 sunroof sliders (2 is complete 2 are extra) 8 cable end sliders (all extra) 2 extra pairs of cables in used condition 1 OEM light cover with surround and. screws (small crack on lens) 2 plastic ramps for plug bottom + other misc parts see pictures Brand new: 1 brand new PAIR of cables with metal hardware (Might be Porsche, VW or Volvo) very hard to find with metal hardware 54-12-1-801-200-BOE sunroof rubber seal BMW Paid $33.75 54-12-9-734-130-M253 sunroof seal felt short section URO Paid $39.25 UR-54-12-9-734-131 sunroof seal URO Paid $63.50 54129634115 BMW 2002 Recessed Sunroof Handle Cover Paid $38.80 Everything you see in the pictures is included. Be sure to check pictures to know exactly what is included. With these parts and what is welded to the car plus the moving panel, you can install one complete 1974 Golde sunroof and probably repair a couple/few more that need a little help. I am asking $440.00 OBO SHIPPED to CONUS if you pay as PayPal friends and family. Please PM me with any offers.
  2. I still have to massage the metal with a body hammer and will be re-introducing that line into the metal. I still feel bad for using the panel in this manner but after seeing all of the rust from having the sunroof I had to do something about it and that panel was just the thing to fill the hole. After grinding it uniform height around it then bending the lip out I only had to trim like 1/8 inch on 3 sides. It is one of the best patches I have ever installed.
  3. Right? In one. of the pictures I am getting a serial of what looks like BA22B2, BX22B2 or RX22B2 but that red line is drawn over it so I can not be sure. I googled it and came up with nothing.
  4. Before I do that I need to get a couple of roof support bows from someone with a donor car and weld them in to put some strength back in the roof. Thank goodness I worked for an auto body shop for 2 years in my 20's 😉
  5. I was seriously disappointed with the amount of rust both between the two layers of the plug as well as underneath the roof where the sunroof pocket is for when the sunroof is open, they were both disgustingly rusty. They are in serviceable condition but if I would have assembled it the way it was it would have been a catastrophic failure in 10 years. I still need to grind my entire roof and then find a couple of donor roof support panels from somewhere but at least it will be fixed properly AND when I put in a new headliner I won't have to cut a hole in the middle then pay extra for a piece of material to cover the crappy metal frame that pops into the bottom side of the plug. For the life of me I still can not figure out why anyone likes the sunroof, lol!
  6. It took me 6 hours of constant grinding and work to get this far, it would have taken 3 days if I had not done my floor pans first as that pretty much got me dialed in on sheet metal welding with my 20 year old Lincoln 100 welder and rosin core wire (no gas). I am working my way up to swapping out the rear panel for a round taillight rear end and the center of the front grill for the old style of grill. Seriously was going to pay to have it all done now I am doing it myself. 😉
  7. I would say that they are pretty easy to work on so spend that money on a lift if you have the room or some scissor lifts if you don't and do it yourself. You can search the forum for every single thing wrong and if it does not pop up you either spelled it wrong or you should post about it in this forum and you will get answers for everything.
  8. VWScott, if you haven't already go check out my post about it I just got done doing the exact same thing and mine was pretty close to how yours looks:
  9. Hey, I decided to finally delete my sunroof. I bought every part to make it functional but was not happy with the amount of rust on the internal structure. It could have been cleaned up but I honestly like a solid roof better. I am sure I am going to upset a 2002FAQ hornets nest by doing this but too late, it is already most of the way done. I started by separating the shell of the sunroof plug from the bottom sheet metal then bent out the lip and flattened and slotted it. Then I extracted the inner sunroof structure out of the car and prepped the top for the plug. I propped up the center of the roof with a pole so it would be the right shape when I was done welding. I proceeded to leave the plug a little large and tacked it to the back in two spots then trimmed it by lifting up and grinding off a little at a time until it sat flat and I had minimal to no cracks. Took about an hour to fit it out then another hour to stitch weld it up. I might do another round of welding but I am done for now. Pictures below:
  10. These really came out nice, appreciate your sharing. I will be getting a set whenever I get to the point of finishing up my interior. Thanks again!
  11. VWScott did the seat covers come with the holes for the headrests or did you put them in? Did you do any of the foam sculpting or did you just reuse your foam as is?
  12. This is a great looking panel! Hard to find one in such good condition.
  13. I have a 1970 motor with a ball pilot bearing (see picture below), will my 1974, 4 speed transmission fit inside it? I was just searching some posts about it and read there are also needle bearings that are for a different diameter shaft. Just looking for some clarification if there is any, thank you!
  14. Best thing I have found to put the springs on is a "Lisle 90210 Short Hose Remover". Search for it on amazon, best 9 bucks you ever spent and it will loosen your crusty old heater hoses too.
  15. Did the cars come with a separate key for the trunk or can I also have the trunk redone to work with the ignition key? Answer is no you need 2 keys, one for doors and ignition and the other for the trunk.
  16. Both of my door handles do not turn using the ignition key, all I have for the car is an ignition and a trunk key both of which work for the car. My door handle assemblies look nice but with the ignition key inserted do not turn at all. How hard is it to have a new key made for the handles? Is it possible to have a locksmith redo the tumblers so it works with the ignition key?
  17. That was what the doctor ordered thank you guys very much, parts are incoming from Pelican I should see them this coming week.
  18. OK, so I wasn't going to check as I have read it is a bear to get them off BUT my nipple was really thin so I decided to give it a try and it came off pretty easy to my surprise. The problem is that it is original so it is a 2 piece and the adaptor is still very stuck into the head. This is a good thing I just have to find a replacement piece. I am putting this motor into my 1974 car so if possible it would be beneficial if I could find the larger size nipple (if it will even fit in the same threaded hole the small one goes in) my entire cooling system would hook right up. Is there a replacement nipple in the larger size that still fits the adaptor for the small nipple? If not, where can I find a replacement nipple of the same size?
  19. 2.75" = 70mm which is correct for the rear 3.75" = 95mm which sounds weird to me, typo? 3.25" = 82mm which is what I think is correct for the front
  20. You will want the MVP panels, that link to the floorpan restoration on my 1974 was mine and the MVP flor pans have an extra 1.5-2 inches in the front and on the tunnel sides which came in very handy as the front and the tunnel was rotten about the same so once I cut out all the rust and sand blasted it I was able to attach the MVP pans in very nicely. Look out for not only the brakes lines in the tunnel but also the clutch master and slave hose that goes between them, right under the tunnel where your gas pedal is. check out the thread of mine it shows almost everything. Good luck!
  21. How did you send the money? If PayPal file a grievance that item was never shipped or whatever. That sucks, sorry dude!
  22. Looking for 1974 or later 2002 hood emblem, I bought a new one from rogerstii but I guess they got larger in 1974 (see pictures to see it is a little bit small on the 74 and up cars) so I am looking for the larger one that fits my hood. Looking for one that is in new or good condition, thanks in advance!
  23. Ireland engineering has kits for each part like head kit lower end kit etc
