  1. With the metal adjuster on it? I bought a set from BMW but they are white plastic ?
  2. Not sure, but this thread might be useful for your build
  3. I would agree with those theories. Is there rust on the body that indicates where water was entering?
  4. My car came with an all metal grill retaining hook. I’m looking for a matching one if someone has one!
  5. I have some new mirror receivers. I accidentally bought 2 sets during my resto and they were never used
  6. Bought this and didn’t end up needing it. Never used and bought new from BMW. $200 + shipping
  7. Hmm. On my car, the battery tray bolts to the body. My goal is to use the existing mounting holes for the battery tray so my mods are reversible. I guess if the battery tray is the same but the mounting point is different, then I could buy a spare tray and modify it to use my existing mounting points. If a TI tray was a different design and used the same mounting holes as other cars, I was hoping to find one and use that instead.
  8. Do you know if its the same tray as the regular 02s or is it a different design?
  9. Im trying to figure out how to modify the battery tray to accommodate the TI air cleaner that I bought. Does anyone have pictures of the TI battery tray that I could use as reference?
  10. I'm in So Cal and $15k sounds about right (if not kinda low), given the rear damage and rust. The other thing to consider is that many things cant be saved during disassembly and adds a lot of cost/time to replace. Dont feel too bad though... I also have a early 2002 and I went the full resto direction. I'd probably have done a survivor build if the car hadnt been badly repainted twice in its lifetime. Also if I knew the total cost I definitely wouldn't have done it.
  11. I’m looking for a nice set of heater/defrost vents with all the tabs intact. I also need the plastic hoses that go from the heater box to the vents. thanks!
  12. I’m on the hunt again for a TII brake booster to rebuild. I sent my previous core to Ireland Eng and they said it wasn’t rebuildable (some broken internal plastic part). If anyone has a nice core for rebuilding please let me know. Thanks
  13. Got it, so it’s not relevant for my car. I’m glad I’m not missing a bunch of stuff ?
  14. I’m looking at real OEM and going through my parts before I reassemble my pedal box. I’m seeing some parts in the diagram that I don’t recognize- didn’t take good pics and hopefully I didn’t lose anything. Anyone know what this is? It’s part 7 in the diagram.
  15. I've heard that the aftermarket ones don't have the right stop positions. Im not sure if that right or not. I would track down an original one and clean it up to use.
  16. I'm having a hard time viewing the attachment. Is it possible to re-upload them as regular images?
  17. I'm looking for a passenger side door catch. Mine has a crack in it.
  18. Manifolds - $150+shipping A pair of BMW manifolds for 40 PHH side drafts. One is marked H121 and V121. I'm assuming the "121" marking indicates their suitability for 121 head. They were sold to me as 2002 TI intakes. There is a broken (cut?) stud for what I assume is pivot linkage so they may not be original to a TI. Broken stud could probably be drilled out. Linkage for Solex 40PHH - $150+shipping This is original BMW linkage that has new zinc plating. Condition is really nice.
  19. I want to share a good experience I had with Accu.co.uk. Some context... I had my bumpers re-chromed but the bolts/nuts didn't clean up well enough to warrant re-plating with zinc. Some of the original carriage bolts also have this stainless steel cap, which held up ok, but the cad plating on the bolt itself was pretty much gone. Refurbishing would be tricky. BMW has some replacement bolts, but they are crazy expensive. I ended up buying bolt kits from WN thinking that would solve the problem, but many of the bolts were not dimensionally or visually the same as the original bolts. So, I did some searching and found Accu, which sells specialized bolts in small quantities. It ended up being a great resource and I found nice stainless replacements. I ended up getting stainless nuts/washers too. With polishing, they will look like chrome. Shipping was a little pricey ($15) but its not bad if you're buying a lot of fasteners or need something in an uncommon size. It took 4days from UK to San Diego CA, everything was nicely packaged.
  20. I don't know the "correct" color, but I had my TII manifold and complete exhaust done in Jet Hot's Titanium color.... its a matte silver finish. The sales rep said it was the best matching color to the painted finish that came on the new Ebersbacher parts I sent in. The downpipe was sold in a matte black color but I had the whole system done in Titanium color because I got a better rate from Jet Hot. I had the heat shield and hanger bracket done in Satin Black. Get the bracket done because the paint tends to burn off and cause rust.
