  1. That WONDERFUL feeling, when you're driving down Highway 1, heading home, and the project is pretty much done
  2. Finished the surround with a new piece of 1/4", I need to locate some vinyl to cover with. Put some last touches on the topside of the steel can before it's welded in place, (i welded in some corners)
  3. RCI aluminum cell, 20" x 24", 10" deep from Summit. Custom fabbed 12 gauge steel can, with the same 12 gauge steel for the areas surrounding the cell. .065 wall 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangular tubing for the structural bracing
  4. The exhaust will run along side of the fuel cell on the driver side. I need to notch out the skirt just below the bumper, (kinda like the factory center/right cut-out)
  5. I will also be using the boot that attaches to the tank/gas-cap, that's how I'm venting the cell, (trying to avoid gas fumes in the trunk)

  7. I've spent a lot of time attending car events over the past 2-years, must are some times 2 to 2-1/2 hours away. Getting between 160 to 180 miles to a tank, I was ready for another challenge and project, an a 20-gallon fuel cell gave me the range that I was looking for. Here are the final photos of the completed project
  8. Thank you "bianchini", I just got home from dropping it off my transmission, (it was only 87-miles from the race car shop, about 2-hours). Should have it back by January 8th, (because of the Holidays and the short work weeks ahead)

  12. 1926 Dodge Phaeton that was shorten to a "Roadster". (Custom build by my brother "John Riparetti"). A gift from my Mom and John back in September 2010
  13. I installed Miata seats, because I got them for free. My buddy had them in a "55",Chevy, he did not like the way they looked. I made adapters so I could mount them to the existing "02",seat mounts, but I sat too high. So I cut out the existing seat mounts, and welded 1-1/4" square tubing to the floor pan.
  14. I just registered a few days back. I think I'm gonna take PCH from my house for the Southern drive, 101 for the way home
  15. I just use 4mm plastic from "Home Depot" and used duct tape to hold the plastic in place

The 2nd Saturday of the month, the "Pebble Beach Sports Car Club" has a car gathering at "Fandango's Restaurant" in Pacific Grove from 8:am til 10:30am "Prims Hardware Store" in Carmel has a car gathering from 8:am til 10:30:am on the 3rd Saturday of the month
  19. The same set-up that I had when running "Circle Track". This is the set-up my Brother is running right now at Meridian Speedway in Idaho, 4-44mm Mikuni "Round-slide" motorcycle carbs. I'm installing 4-38mm Mikuni "Round-slide" motorcycle carbs. I have 2 of the 38's mated to the Lynx right now. I'm still not at all happy with that manifold
