From the photo, it seems that it is sitting high in the front of the hood.
First thing to do is MARK the current location of all the bolts, this allows you to at best get back to where you where.
Then, loosen the metal locking tabs at the rear of the hood, get some lithium grease in there if they refuse to move freely.
Remove the grills, and loosen the bolts that hold the hood's hinges to the chassis. If gravity doesn't do the trick, buy a six-pack, and invite the neighbor over.
Once you get the front of the hood the way it needs to be, tighten the bolts up. At this point you will in all likelihood messed some other bit of the alignment up.
Move the torsion bar mounting screws in small (millimeter) increments until you get it to sit straight. The torsion bar adjusts the horizontal and vertical alignment at the windshield. If the torsion bar wont make it move sufficiently, or warps the hood to the point that it wont lock down, your going to need to adjust the hinges.
The torsion bar can do quite a bit of adjusting, just go in very small increments, "just a smidge" (if I may use a technical term) I have managed to straighten slightly off hoods through the adjustment of these mounts, and the mounting tabs. I did Emily for Jonathan the other day, took me 30 min to get it to sit perfect when latched. He didn't want to take the grills off, but you don't have a choice from that photo. I have also done this on my car, and it works perfectly, I can send you some photo's of the positioning in that car if you think it will help
If you have to do the Hinges....
Fortunately, you left the grills off for this sort of occasion. Get a deep socket through the metal cut-outs in the front clip, and loosen the bolts that hold the hinges to the hood. You can move the hood forward and backwards from here, as well as giving it skew. The hood should sit about 1cm forward of the windshield, there shouldn't be a gap, just a small bit of space (need photo, send me an email)
Straighten the hood as best as you can, having that neighbor over comes in handy.... Do this all with the hood down unlatched on the car, lubricate till it moves easily, makes life so much easier. Once done, bolt the hinges back down, and re-do the torsion bar. You shouldnt have to come back to those hinges again, the torsion bar will be able to do the rest.
The key is to think before you leap, if the left rear sits high, and wont latch, think what could be causing the interference. Don't adjust for adjustments sake, you could have it, just have that one tinny thing just a wee bit off.
One final thing, when you finally test to make sure it latches down, if you feel any extra resistance, dont force it. Something isnt quite right, (move metal tabs forwards or back a bit) Do a search for Hood Stuck Shut, AVOID, its a real pain in the ass.
Good Luck, Hope this helps, Feel Free to email.
