  1. this topic has been discussed at length in the past, but. need to decide what you want the lift for first. what is primary use. full range of car work? storage? detail? just tire changes and brakes? I have had, or used, all of the options, so here is my take. if full range of car work, you need to find a way to get a two post lift in there. either full size or a maxjack. there is no substitute for a two post when working on a car. everything else is a significant compromise. you will wish you had gotten a two post later if you don't get one now. just tires and brakes? detail? quick jack/sissor can work. they DO block access to the middle of the car for driveline work. and they don't get the car very far off the ground. you are gonna be working on your back on the floor. personnally, i am too old to be doing that crap anymore. storage/detail? four post is the choice. if you want to do any work on the car though besides oil changes, you need ANOTHER lift to get the car off the four post lift to get the wheels off the raceways. not optimal. and the raceways hinder access to suspension parts.
  2. it would be useful if you actually put what you wanted in the thread title instead of just "wanted"......
  3. Very important piece of info. I had to have that conversation with the architect and contractor on my shop. They read my inside rqmt as the outside dimensions.
  4. it is just a typical ebay dream asking price. not reality unless someone actually pays it....
  5. we get more "snow treatment" on our roads in the DC area than we get actual snow. ridiculous. thankfully, it does rain a bunch too, so after a solid rainfall the car eating chemicals are washed away until the next snow panic. so...I always keep a fun car and a motorcycle on "ready 5" during the winter for those nice days that appear!
  6. great carpet sets!!! link should be sent to owners spouses as a hint for a holiday present! ?
  7. like the list that is in the first post in this thread?
  8. If considering putting an S14 in a 2002.. A/ buy the swap manual from aardvark racing. B/ spend time reading the swap threads in the projects sub forum. Two of the longest, most detailed, project threads are the s14 swap cars of Steve Peterson and myself. The swap is not trivial if done right.
  9. That is the normal way to run a 245 with an S14. Ecu must have those sensors in the right place for the engine to run. Aardvark, Ben T, Terry S are some of the few folks who have a jig and know how to do this. A 245 is not a "bolt on" to an S14.
  10. return line is a function of what pressure regulator you use........
  11. never understood the deal with leather seats in cars. sweaty in summer, cold in winter, slippery in turns. just not the right material for sports car seats.
  12. no. pelican, turner and ECS are all part of the same evil empire of poor customer service and wildly optimistic estimates on when parts may be available. avoid all three. they are the same big company. Blunttech, IE, FCPEuro for parts. L-Seat for seat covers.
  13. that is the plan! already have the casters...:-)
  14. actually camber is the easier one to adjust. the three strut bolts. loosen slightly, move for camber. ez. caster require "4" bolts to be loosened....?
  15. rather than leave it hanging...decided to burn some metal and make a storage stand for the S14. bonus...it was an excuse to buy a new tool...Plasma Cutter. so much fun! LOL!
  16. nice work, but....i would be more impressed if there was in car video from a track session. alas, cars like this rarely ever get really used properly.
  17. FCP Euro ROCKS!!! great service, fast shipping, honest about availability of parts, lifetime replacement policy. ECS, TURNER, Pelican....all part of the same conglomerate of fail.
  18. the OEM water temp indicator IS an actual water temp gauge.... you don't need two.
  19. surprised the seller took it back... mechanically sound? just about any car this age is going to have a few issues. nothing major there. what 02 doesn't leak oil? ball joints and CSB? fuel hoses? trans rear seal? all minor stuff. the rust though...that is false advertising. bad seller.
  20. Had that blasting on the shop today!
  21. if running the stock sway bar link setup, probably not. the bar movement is somewhat restricted by the short length of the links. if running the long swaybar links up to the strut M3 style, definitely yes. bar will move side to side quite a bit.
  22. Yes. Put them just inside each of the body mounts. They keep the bar from sliding side to side. Btw... The bar ends are on the wrong side of the control arms.
