  5. Remove both of the idle jets with a flat head screwdriver clean them well and report back. HTH Dudley
  6. It's the seal between the MC and the booster......If you have to replace it then make sure you get the seal that is flat on the top and sides and not the one that is round on all sides. HTH Dudley
  7. Sounds like your idle jets are dirty on your 32/36..... Unscrew both of them and clean them. HTH Dudley

  9. Michael...... it's your heater core ! I have built quite a few heater boxes now with the melt your tennis shoe results you are talking about. For real heat a great heater core is a must and then a super fan to finish your build. It was just in the teens here in D.C. with the wind chill factor and my 71 was Africa hott !!! hth, Dudley
  10. Thats chinese crap parts for you. I am sticking with either BMW parts or parts made from the guys here on FAQ that actually give a shit about the products they put out. A lot of these parts may say "Made in Germany" etc but in fact the parts are made in China, then ASSEMBLED" in germany. I will give you an example, wristwatches. See those nice expensive Swiss watches?? and German watches?? etc? In the watch retail world those are actually considered tier 3 watches. They have "Swiss Made" for the movements but there is a catch. The entire movement is actually made in China. The plates, gears etc. The movements are then assembled in Swiss factories using swiss screws, jewels and swiss labor. The screws, jewels and labor are enough "Swiss parts" in it to be called Swiss Made. As a big watch guy...... you just made me cry :-(
  11. Interested in the early turn signal switch. dudonly@aol.com Thanks, Dudley

  17. I vote diff three..... the same thing happened to me about three months ago.
  18. Check your booster..... I was driving and I hit a D.C. pothole and had the exact same symptoms you are describing. Hit the brakes while at idle and see if the engine smooths out or if you hear a hiss when you release the brake pedal. HTH, Dudley
  19. Great Tip !!!! I will do this tomorrow.
  20. I was wondering whatever happened to this car. It was here in Maryland at a place called Flemings Ultimate Garage and they wanted 19,900 but they took a lot of hits for the over spray and the lack of attention to detail for the price. HTH Dudley
  21. Well the funny thing is my old booster gave me a super hard pedal so I just put this booster on about a week ago and it worked well until I hit a huge ditch or should I say I jumped a huge ditch left a crew working on the road in Georgetown DC. Thanks DC !!!![/i]
  22. Well my fellow 02ers I have the answer to why my motor is rocking erratically at idle, I finally found the problem after adjusting the valves changing the plugs and new plug wires dist.cap and rotor. It's the BOOSTER that is leaning out plug 4. When I unplug the vacuum line from the booster and use my finger to plug the line the car runs great when plugged back into the booster the erratic idle comes back. All I need now is a good working booster hopefully someone locally has one. HTH, Thanks, Dudley
