    I use quite a few sites but this is the only one that I find a nuisance to use because of the way the posts stay where posted. If someone replies to a post from three days ago doesn't it make sense to bring that post back to the top? I started a Project blog but when it's off on page 15 if I update it then no one's going to go look for it etc.

    That's what Ebay want, sellers listing thousands of items at once. They've done their level best to make as many so called improvements as they can in the past 18 months all of which are designed to piss off people selling one or two items. Hiding bidders id's - shill bidders charter. No negative feedback as a seller - great so buyers can mess you about 10 times more than before with NO comeback. Fees that are based on that they have the biggest market share so charge whatever they like then insist on Paypal so they can molest you twice in one go. They should just wear masks then at least you'd see them robbing you. ;-)

    If they don't allow power tools, a hammer and sharp chisel and chop them out then take the extra off at home at your leisure, hard work but does the job.

    This is my first test of the Deox C stuff: Tested on the part top middle of first picture - you can match the orange paint and then it was half submerged in a solution of the Deox C.

    Did these myself with a couple of wire brushes, one in a drill and one in a 4inch angle grinder. My Tii had no wheels and these were all I could find at the time so I could get it trailered home. Sprayed in the garden inside a cardboard box, lol. They are terribly pitted on the inside - could have filled and sanded them but they are only temporary so just undercoated with a rattle can then top coated with "steel wheel" spray.

    Kit looks awfully similar to the one on my Tii (Zender) but without the front part. You can still buy it new for $2000.00

    Hmmm, that makes more sense. I had to pull a bit of that stuff from inside one of the plug holes that had been broken off in the past I assume. I've looked on a couple of sites but they look to be the "rubber" type as well even some performance ones. If anyone can suggest a site to buy the correct ones to save my fingers I'd appreciate it?

    Took the caps off as a matter of course, lol, then had to go find them but they still wont' fit properly to my mind with or without them. The rubber is far too narrow/long to push on when it's flopping about, must be my technique. :-) Just for a test I cut off all the rubber to about 1/2 inch from the metal of the connector and it was still a struggle to fit.

    Think I'm institutionalised from 18 years of only VW's coming to BMW's. Lol. Posted a couple of pics in the project blog too. I'm a bad person but I never even checked under the hood of the 2nd Tii I bought until today... something I couldn't quite figure out until I went and checked with my parts Tii... some knob has chucked the engine out and put what I think is a standard one in it's place at some point. Everything seems ok to poke about with but the spark plug leads - pain in the arse... how the heck do you push them on, floppy rubber with no metal part to keep them rigid so you can push them on? Tried the two sets of leads from each car, new plugs, old plugs. Can't even fit them to the plugs properly without a lot of effort when the plugs are out of the engine.

    Managed to get a few minutes sunshine to do some work on my 2002's. Lots of rust on the floor from my parts Tii: Gave my blue Tii a quick wash to make it look a bit less mossy: Then decided to poke under the bonnets: Spot the newbie in me realising something wasn't quite right... Doh!

    I use Photobucket.com - upload to there and they give you a choice of links to each picture that you just click then copy into your post to a forum. Most use the same format to display pictures etc.

    I bought these off Ebay but not sure they are correct? No good anyway as the 2002 I've bought has a quad light grill, lol.

    I gave some of mine a quick refurb as I needed new tyres on them to roll the car about on and was too embarassed to take them looking totally knackered, lol. Too pitted to be much good but not too bad for a quick job.

    To finish chopping up the rotten brown one saving anything I can from it to use on the blue one for a start. :-) When Business Post get their act together and delivery the service bits I ordered last week I'm going to have a go at getting the blue one started and running. I learnt my lesson with past wrecks (Vw's) fiddling around the edges so first job is to get it running then worry about the rest later while I have the engine/parts from the scrap one to use to refurb/reuse. And give it a good washing. Lol.
