  1. It's a 6 fuse car. Parking light (R&L) on fuse #1, Tail light right on fuse #2 and Tail light left on fuse #3. Mark92131
  2. My 1970 BMW 1600 has this feature (1571037), it also has the turn signal switch with the individual connectors. The "P" connector on the turn signal switch is connected to the "P" connector on the ignition switch with a green wire which provides power to the parking lights when the stalk is activated right or left when the ignition switch is off. I learned about this feature the hard way by running down the battery in my 1971 BMW 1600 Cab after switching it on by accident in the garage. Mark92131
  3. Reseda Green? Very pretty color, one of my favorites. Not a 1600 color, but 320i, BMW 1500 and other models. Mark92131
  4. Here's a writeup on how I cleaned up the trim on my 1975 Mintgrun car. Mark92131
  5. Now that my open exhaust issue is resolved, a rainy day in CA is perfect for working in the garage. So let's get tuning. Last time I was able to get the engine to fire, so today I wanted to see if it would actually run. Went back through the Megasquirt II (MicroSquirt) tuning documentation, made a few tweaks based on the writeup from @AustrianVespaGuy. Started the data log, turned the key, began cranking, timing light flashing and it fired... and died. Tried it again, fired and kept going. It actually started around 2000 RPM and slowly settled down to about 1500 RPM. I checked the static timing (which was suppose to be fixed at 10 degrees BTDC) and it was more like 20). Let it idle about 5 minutes until the coolant temp was around 180, shut it down and sent the data log to @AustrianVespaGuy who reminded me that I needed to fix the timing at 10 degrees on initial startup and not use the table. Made the changes and restarted the car. Things were going smoothly, rock steady idle, static timing needed adjustment, but the motor sounded very happy, and then things went sideways in a hurry... Coolant was pooling under the car, but from where? Basically everywhere! The heater core blew a seam and coolant was flowing into the pedal box. But wait, why is oil leaking from the front driver's side? Because the oil filter gasket is leaking! Wait what's this? A small pool of MTL dripping on the floor from the Guibo? Is the rear seal on the 5 speed bad? I was told it was replaced (5 years ago)? So it looks like I'll be pulling things apart before I get back to the fun stuff. So much promise, dashed so quickly. 6. Code light popped up that Vanos system was compromised, (plugged up). Spent a bunch of money trying to fix it. Finally had to let it go for next to nothing. Lesson learned on buying cars from out of State based on pictures, (although it will probably happen again). Mark92131
  7. Thanks, me too. Working on tuning it today, now that the exhaust is done. Mark92131
  8. Yes, great car until it wouldn't smog in CA. Sold it and scaled down to a 2020 M2 Competition. Mark92131
  9. I miss my original paint 75 PastellBlau BMW 2002. One of 3 I have owned in this color. Mark92131
  10. Completed the installation of the exhaust system for the S14 motor in my BMW 1600. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out Mark92131
  11. I did see the Kooglewerks S14 header when I was ordering some parts from them. Beautiful, but pricey at $2K and then you need to fabricate the resonator and side exit muffler. My homemade version was $350 including the chop saw, good for now. Mark92131
  12. And AutoHausAZ has them. 13. Those are getting hard to find. I was on the same quest as you earlier because the previous owner snapped all the mounting tabs off and glued it to the steering wheel. I found one in Germany, they wanted $200+ for it, so I passed and ended up JB Welding my original. In my search, I did find someone that made a file to 3D print one. Mark92131 steering wheel cone for BMW 2002 by iffikas - Thingiverse WWW.THINGIVERSE.COM Based on measurements provided by client. Created in Fusion 360 based on my printer performance. Fits perfect in my case. First run was with PLA and postprocessed - sanding, primer and contour spray to achieve close to original look. There was no point to print pins...
  14. After firing my engine with an open header, I needed to come up with a solution for adding an exhaust for the S14 motor before tuning it. I had an adapter plate for the header I bought from Lee at Massive years ago, just needed to fabricate everything back to the tail pipe. The adapter was for 2" pipes, so I bought a universal 2" pre-bent exhaust pipe kit on eBay, a 2" "Y" pipe, a 2" resonator, some 2" exhaust clamps, and a 14" chop saw and went to work. I copied the OEM routing and 3 piece configuration, basically building a 2 to 1 downpipe, a resonator center section and muffler. I used the existing OEM muffler I had for the car and will later duplicate it in a 2" version. I mocked everything up, and with the help of my brother, tack welded everything together. We pulled it off the car and proceeded to weld it up completely. Today I'll clean up the welds, spray some primer to keep it from rusting and press on the chrome tip for the muffler and re-install it. Mark92131
  15. Just a quick update. I reached out to Martin Senour about the availability of #21505 Nevada Olive Paint code. They provided 2 options in their Pro//Base paint line. PBT (CA restricted formula, Base and Clear Coat) Formula: 100996227 PBS (Single Stage formula) Formula: 101024860 So for people looking for a less expensive option to repaint their Nevada cars, you should be able to walk into your local NAPA store, order a pint and do a spray out to see how close these look to original Nevada. 17. I does look considerably darker in the shade. Mine was painted in Glasurit 22 Single Stage using the original formula for Nevada out of the Glasurit database. It does have the subtle Olive undertones I was looking for in this color that some formulas don't reflect. I does look different in direct sunlight and shade. Mark92131
  18. Researching those formula codes comes up with a Martin Senour Pro//Base Paint from Napa Auto. This paint is their PBT restrictive line for CA (1 to 1 Base to Reducer) with a clear coat. Cypress Gold is an older Ford color, but it would be interesting to know if Napa folks have the mixing formula for Martin Senour 21505 (Nevada 001) in their database. If #21505 is still in the database, you can probably use the Martin Senour Pro//Base PBS Single Stage for a more OEM look, good news for folks outside CA. Mark92131 Just a moment... 19. I don't know the Brand or Style. Mine was single stage Glasurit. Perhaps, Colton Napa keeps records on their batches. 6 years goes by pretty fast. Remember, there was a 2 year Covid break. Mine went in to the body shop 2020, came back in 2022. Mark92131
  20. John, the owner of the Nevada Raffle car, kindly sent me a photo of the paint formula for his car. Looked spectacular in person. Mark92131
  21. Pretty much everything you need to run Ford EDIS-4 Wasted Spark on your M10. Just add a MicroSquirt ECU and wiring harness and you're in business. The in-tank fuel pump looks a little short, but that might be the camera angle. Can't tell what's in the plastic bag under the TPS Sensor? It would be good to know if that is the stock throttle body or the upgraded BMW 325 version. Good price for someone that needs a complete setup. Good luck with the sale! Mark92131
  22. RealOEM.com has your part numbers. RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog WWW.REALOEM.COM BMW parts 1502-2002tii 1600 Distributor-single parts 12118630235 Mark92131
  23. Some of the early colors are not easily found in the catalogs of modern manufacturers (PPG, Sherwin Williams, Dupont, Etc.) . For Nevada, code 001, it was only available in Glasurit Single Stage Line 22. I would try your local BASF Glasurit dealer. You can search the internet for restored Florida cars and try contacting the owners, or if you have a unmolested part of the car with the original paint (under trunk lid?), you could try color matching it. Good luck, Mark92131
  24. My neighbor had 15" Alpina E12 replicas on their car, looked great, bad rubbing in the front on sharp turns into driveways. Mark92131
  25. There are directions on the 123 Ignition site for resetting your distributor back to factory specs. Then you can set your motor to TDC for #1 on the compression stroke and go through the 123 Ignition distributor install steps again. Plug in a base tune for your Tii and see if it will start. If you have the original mechanical distributor, you could stab it and see if it starts Zouave to identify the 123 Distributor as the issue. #6 in your troubleshooting list is concerning. Mark92131
