    I had spoken with Claus a couple of times in the past, but was not aware he passed away. The picture you just posted of the touring is one of my favorites. Taken at the Amsterdam Auto Show in 1971, it shows a tii touring with the rare factory "sport paket" including black Recarro interior with cream piping, US turn signals, Hella fog lamps, sport steering wheel (same as the 1600ti), and alloys. I am quite fortunate to have a touring that has this sport package. Another owner I am aware of lives in Switzerland and sometimes posts on this site. His original inka tii touring has been in his family since new. Would be great to catch up again in person. T.R.

    Thanks for the touring "cheesecake" photos. Your car looks sharp. I see you have it up for sale, but hope you might find a way to not let it go. We actually met years ago at a Palo Alto show when my wife and I were living up in the Bay Area. Did not have the touring back then, but rather a pretty nice '73 polaris tii that got sold back in 2003. All the best. T.R.

    Finally took some better pics of the polaris touring and thought I'd share these as well. Runs flawlessly after much work performed by Bill Holmes.

    Hey there Steve, Gotta love inka as you well understand. Still have the touring. Runs great after Bill's extensive work on it as well. Currently have about 2,700 miles on the touring rebuild, so recently been able to let her scream without worry. Hope to see you soon. T.R.

    Recently received my early '72 back from the good Mr. Holmes aka Bavarian Rennsport. Fresh engine rebuild and various new mechanicals, as well as tranny and suspension bits. Tight, tight and a blast to now drive. Original paint, free of rust, straight, and sunroof to boot. Picked this up last year from Mike McHenry here in Camarillo. Had been mostly off the road since the early 90's and kept non-op so blue plates stayed. Beautiful cool sunny weekend weather, so though I'd take some pics.
