  1. Need at least six carpet fasteners for an early style carpet kit. These are the ones that go through the top of the carpet to meet a receptical snap underneath on floors. Have all of the floor ones, just need the top. I live in SoCal. Thanks. T.R.
  2. Need a set of front and rear HD's in good condition. I live in SoCal. Thanks. T.R.
  3. but, when I drove up with her then $3,900 asking price in hand to look at that car, extensive bondo cracking through the discolored paint over the rear passenger door and panel was found. Overspray was also seen in the engine bay. I passed. This experience absolutetly solidified my decision to never purchase a car off Ebay or otherwise without a personal inspection. The family and I did have a nice roadtrip however from SoCal. T.R.
  4. Have a question regarding a rumor heard about being able to register CA blue plates on a car that currently does not have them on file. Specifically, let's say one purchases a '71 2002 out of state (AZ) and wishes to then register it in CA. If this someone has an unregistered set of front and rear six character blue plates that have fallen off the system, can they go to the DMV and claim the plates are "personalized", ie vanity plates and request they be now registered on this 02? Thanks in advance for any info. T.R.
  5. Looks like the front clip was replaced at some time. It has a non tii nose. T.R. '72 polaris 2000tii touring '72 inka 2002
  6. Hello Jerry, Sent you an email re: your colorado 02 and upper dash piece earlier this morning. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks. T.R. '72 polaris 2000tii touring '72 inka 2002
  7. Am interested in the carpet. Has it been used and is it the "salt and pepper" color? Thanks. T.R.
  8. Fairly expensive at $700+, but looks to be OEM German loop salt and pepper. #476 Gray. Has anyone here ponyed up the big bucks and installed? If so, please post impressions and pics. Thanks. http://www.gahh.net/smp-v20-c13b.php http://www.gahh.com/20022002ti2002tii-coupe-1972-seatcoverkits-27_28_88_521.html I've had this cheaper US produced stuff installed, but poor fit and too thick. 9. I'm going to try to make it to Bimmerfest, but am on call over that weekend. Might be able to switch it with someone else however. Hope you have been able to get mentioned issues resolved with your 02. Take care. T.R.
  10. Nice blue, maybe riviera, round tail light tii with blue plates seen about 7:05 am this morning on 101 driving through Woodland Hills. Wondered if owned by board member. T.R. '72 2000tii touring polaris '72 2002 inka
  11. I have used paintsctatch.com in the past with success, but the 066 florida paint code is not recognized by their system. Wonder if the local dealer could provide? T.R.
  12. Looking for some florida green 066 touch up paint. Any recommendations re: where this might be found? On-line searches have not revealed much overall. Thanks. T.R.
  13. The car was advertised as a tii, not one that had been converted. Not everyone would have caught the VIN posted above in the listing. Then if you look down further in the ad under "Details.. Details.. Details", it states the car has a "clear" title. Again, nowhere in the ad does it state the car was a regular 02 converted to a tii. Either the seller has made honest mistakes with his listing vs. other. T.R.
  14. The Bimmer Bros '73 tii has a salvage title and is not even a real tii based upon VIN posted. Sold for over $11K. What gives? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200209699313&rd=1 T.R. '72 polaris 2000tii touring '72 inka 2002
  15. Stumbled upon this old ad and wondered if someone on the board knows of this car. Looks beautiful. http://www.fli4p.org/02_4_sale/colorado.html T.R.
  16. Thanks for the info Jim. It looks like a really nice 1600 from the pics. Sorry to hear it did not "stay in the family", so to speak. T.R. '72 polaris tii touring '72 inka 2002
  17. I believe this 1600 may have gone to a board member. Was wondering whatever happened to this car and remember seeing it for sale a couple of years ago. http://www.maisgelb.com/TTG/1600/FS/1600FS.html T.R.

  19. But seriously, Scottie and I exchanged a few emails and phone calls regarding this 1600. He definately played up on the positives, but neglected to point out any of the negatives you describe. His communications had a bit of a used-car salesman feel and my gut feeling told me to pass. Sorry for your troubles. Best, T.R. '72 polaris 2000tii touring '72 inka 2002
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360011108442 This car was discussed on the FAQ a while back. Very nice indeed. T.R.
  21. Still functional? Yes, no? http://nk.thedotcommune.com/board/
  22. A bit further and inland, but Bill's work is second to none. He was the only mechanic able to finally sort out a stalling issue with my tii. His # is (760) 789-2002. T.R. '72 polaris 2000tii touring '72 inka 2002
  23. AKA, "tii guru". Just trying to save a little coin. Thanks again for the outstanding job you did with my tii touring. T.R.
