  1. Looking for a solid rebuildable manual pedal box for a 73
  2. My 73 02 (2587903) rolled off the assembly line January 26, 1973. The same day that The Paris Peace Accords were signed ending the Vietnam war, Edward G Robinson died and 20 days after my 13th birthday. It was a Friday. I believe that old adage, never buy a car built on a Monday or Friday, only applies to American cars. It was sold to its first owner on March 26 1973 at Bavarian Auto Sales in Woodside Queens, NY. Happy to report that it is still going strong and will receive 14” steelies and a 5 speed transplant this spring. Long may you run.
  3. As posted on e9 coupe.com. In Florida. Hurricane Ian “survivor”. Looks like the real deal https://www.copart.com/lot/62250222/1974-bmw-2002-fl-punta-gorda-south
  4. Spotted this NK 2000 parked on a lovely street in McMinnville. Was temped to leave a note but didn’t. Anyone recognize it?
  5. Yep. My first car was a 1954 Ford Customline. Paid $250 for it in 1976. Just realized that it was the first roundie I had. Turns out the second was a 71 02 I bought in 1979.
  6. Might want to give Apple Hydraulics a call. They’ve been around a long time. I used them for lever shocks on a TR4 I restored over 30 years ago. Brake Boosters Rebuilt, yours done pricing, (from stock available), no – Apple Hydraulics WWW.APPLEHYDRAULICSONLINE.COM Austin Healey, MGC, Sunbeam and others $685 Aston Martin $685-$785 Jaguar XKE 6 cyl (12 Cyl $445) $495 (6...
  7. It’s a nice distraction to have. Especially when you can take it out to Cars & Coffee and the like. When I bring one of my cars to a non BMW centric event I swear the 02 gets more attention than the e9 because everyone knows someone who had one or they always wanted one. It took me a year to do the 5speed/Injected M30 swap on my e9. My mantra was “at least an hour” every time I did some work. So many nights I’d go out after dinner and spend an hour on the swap. My wife was happy, she always knew were to find me. ?
  8. Welcome to a fellow e9 owner. Impressive is another good word for your e9 resto. Your 1600 looks great. It’s good to have an m10 in your life. Enjoy! john
  9. MTuner came through. Looking for getrag 245 output flange. 3 bolt preferred. Fine splined version . thanks john
  10. I’m preparing a 5speed swap. The Getrag 245 I have I have is missing the speedometer drive. Looking at RealOem.com the part numbers inter change between the 242 4speed and the 245. Has anyone had any experience in swapping a speedometer drive from a 242 to a 245? Also, if anyone has a speedo drive laying around I’d be interested. Thanks, John M
  11. Looking for passenger side wiper arm in silver for a 73. thanks
  12. Happily, here’s where it resides today. Thanks Lindrel! ?
  13. Howdy, I’ve got an 02 rear windshield sans defogger. Appears to be tinted. Good condition. Rubber seal NOT included. Pick up in Portland area. $100 feel free to ask questions. john
  14. Hi Steve, Good to see l you’re still doing “upgrades” on Lilly. Stock springs will certainly lift (1”-1.5”) her to stock height. May soften the ride but not by much. Ride harshness has more to do with shocks/struts IMHO. That’s why I went with stock springs and OEM Sacks/Boge shocks on my current 02. You wouldn’t be the first who tried different configurations to find one they like best. John
  15. Welcome! Touring tii’s are rare birds indeed and it looks like you’ve scored an honest one. We usually cut our teeth on 02s then move up to e9’s. You’ve chosen a different path. Having an M10 in your life is a good thing. ?

  19. So in the process of replacing my carpet I need to have broken E-Brake bracket welded first Screws (tried that) won’t do the job. Has anyone else had to do this type of repair? Need a recommendation for a shop in the Portland (I’m new to the area) area that can do the welding. john
