  1. I had a Bluetooth adapter that interfered with my Blaupunkt Frankfurt tuner then changed for a modern 80`s retro Blaupunkt sqr 46 Bremen used in Porsches. Vintage Blau can change the radio with new internals to improve it, I may go down that road in the future as I do prefer the look of the earlier radio...
  2. Old antennas can actually (wear out) perhaps check connection on radio chassis, and or try another antenna...perhaps.
  3. I seem to remember removing originals from an old Tii...they looked like around 10 MM thick squished so make em 12 mm. The new BMW ones were almost double the thickness, Get a tubing cutter and slice em.
  4. Nr 11 belongs to 1974 and up cars....unless yours is non original..
  5. Here is a source good luck! https://www.autozone.com/batteries-starting-and-charging/alternator/p/bosch-alternator-al89x/1094676_0_0
  6. The consoles on later cars were longer and extended very near the handbrake handle button..There is a shifter surround that has a square raised flange, the square rubber or leather/vinyl shift boot fastens to which is screwed to the sides of the legs of the longer console to lock the surround in place.
  7. The 235/5 driveshaft is supposed to have an 18 MM dodecagon still available collar nut part number 26111101782.
  8. I believe the bumper bracket change was April 72 here is the fiche...If you select EUR you will find the listing seems USA does not list them. RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog WWW.REALOEM.COM BMW parts 1502-2002tii 2002 Bumper, front
  9. Wondering if there are any M2/S14 engine and suspension setup guides for 2002`s out there that were published and their ISBN number/s or were there other forms of publications/plans? Thanks.
  10. Perhaps loosen the internal lower door window and vent window rails at the base of the door and try to rock the entire door glass and vent window assembly slightly outward. Tighten base fasteners when satisfied with fitment.
  11. I went zimt nappa leather.... But look for either a cinnamon or bronze colors if dying.. I went for cinnamon Zimt in German. I empathize with those that went through what I had to.
  12. I`m sure there are other body lines unless already done to attend to in the meantime....
  13. One other thing.... Dont buy cheap knockoffs...Insist on only original redline Weber if it is way too cheap for a new one....it is not the genuine Weber. http://old.lcengineering.com/Genuine Weber.pdf
  14. The end bracket may have twisted slightly from spring pressure misaligning the thru bolt hole...Use a piece of leather or rag with some channel locks and try to twist it to find the hole I drilled 4 M10 holes for the flush mount Rivnuts sized for the use of the correct bolts since two of mine mine were stripped on one side .
  15. As Toby said, the grille openings/parts are all different.... mockup what you are getting on the car..
  16. Standard 2002 sorry..... with Bluntech compressor bracket. Kinda thinking 13x840 Continental belt....but
  17. What size belts are are you folks using for Sanden compressor belts without idler pulleys? Continental references preferred but not absolutely required .... Thanks!
  18. RE: STP is a temporary triage until seal kits and time allows, warming it up allows flow of course not torching it obviously...While the fluid solidifies it acts as a high viscosity oil and reduces incontinence. The splines on the steering shaft and yokes should be absolutely clean to allow free column insertion. apply some grease to the areas above and below spline contact surfaces to avoid rust lines that could bind on another repair in the future. Also do not forget the downward preload on the steering wheel while fastening the yoke assemblies. I did not need wedges to aid assembly/disassembly due to prior info here...but is a great suggestion for soiled splines.
  19. Warm up some STP oil treatment then pour some in will turn to gel inside ...no leaks...A friend of mine said the BMW racers used to do that back in the day....
  20. Perhaps X check all areas from the blue book. Old school frame shops can setup datum line and go from there along with measurements previously mentioned. Also a Cellette frame machine could be available with the right folks. Overall from the pictures the car looks fairly straight.
  21. Anyone ever find out the actual manufacturers recommended shelf life on head gaskets? I have a sealed Elring package made in 2018. Seems kinda old but your thoughts? Thanks!
  22. I used a more cinnamon/ saffron color to try to somewhat mimic ...not exact but kinda close...
