  1. I'm going, I'm only 2 hours south hey, did you ever find any series 3 kgb t-shirts in 3x?
  2. should be a few of us watching the vintage hillclimb run by the Alfa club, last year the Cobra coupe which later sold for 7M+ ran up the hill, sounded glorious! I've seen 328s, a 503, and I was able to run my TII last year, a true feast for the senses!
  3. you ARE going to the tire rack for the midwest 02 fest, right?
  4. don't waste time at Chicago dealers, but maybe AAA locks in Glenview
  5. don't know what that is, but i'm sure it's good!

  9. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10150092836295355 midwest 02 fest, last held in 2002, great time and the Tire Rack is a great venue!

  11. supports the weight of the plenum more directly than the banana tubes can, I thought they all had it
  12. Are you refering to the Ti side grille with the script 2002ti? Those are the early(up to 73) style which doesn't fit the 74-76 nose panel, otherwise a tii grille is the same as a non tii grille
  13. I have a couple tourings torn apart in Northfield too bad they're E61s
  14. http://www.thewerkshop.com/
  15. Stop at the Werkshop just off rte 176 on Nagle ct, its a Mecca of 02 restoration, and in Lake Bluff
  16. As seen in the Waynes World movie! The Windy City Vintagefest was held within a few miles of it prior to the disassembly, nobody thought to round up the 02s and get a picture in its shadow.
  17. http://www.bmwvccca.com/cat_events.shtml come back next month, and see some nice old BMWs!
  18. the factory manual has a chapter, I have a solex book but I don't think it covers past the 1950s, I'll see if I can find it. Dave
  19. when leaded gas was outlawed for the street, there was something I read about the diminishing return of octane boost with lead, if you doubled the lead, the octane only came up a fraction, and the same was true with lead free boost agents, but the article stated that if lead booster or leaded premium was added to lead free premium, there was a larger octane boost than by adding the same amount of lead free booster, so mixing a little 100ll with your 92 may get you to 95 without changing the volatility much. Whatever happened to 100/130?
  20. you might try AKG motorworks, he makes knobs, ask if you could ship it to him for machining
  21. when gasohol was first introduced, my first tankfull dislodged all kinds of stuff, I made it 5 miles before having to clean the pickup screen. Lately I've had no issues.
  22. the Bosch "bible" has a listing of terminal designation, I find DIN much simpler that SAE
  23. showing the concours setup at Lake Lanier last summer http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Uniquely/joyisbmw.aspx#bimmerfest
