  1. Of course it goes without saying that each candidate is lovely and spectacular as fine examples of the 02 genre!!!!
  2. Nice car. My 1969 was purchased in Sacramento from the original owner and driven home to Minnesota. Are the seats original? A 1973 should have head rests, unless they were removed. Depending upon your desires, I have heard good things about Bilstein HD shocks with either all new OEM bushings or maybe urethane.
  3. Can we please move this and all others like it to the personal attacks section?
  4. I have the initial calendar from 05 and the follow-up from 06. Was there an 07 version?
  5. Been a bit since I checked on the FAQ. Looks like it is still going strong. Will try to catch up with everyone's projects. Looks like some great work going on. Makes me want to go out to the garage and climb under the car and hammer out some stuff. Need a look at Blunt's babies! I owe him some letters to an insurance company. Will get them done shortly. Cheers. Cameron
  6. Steve, I know he shared your love for BMW cars even though he came to them late in life. I know you enjoyed the time spent in the garage with him. I know you will miss him forever. I know he will always be a part of you. Take care. Cameron
  7. I love my 69 as well. Basically stock.
  8. I am interested. Can you shoot some closer pictures? What is the diameter? And how much do you want for it?
  9. If you search the archives you will find tons of threads and photos on this subject. Opinions are varied and strong.
  10. That steering wheel looks cool. Good condition? Are you going to keep it?
  11. Back in the 1980's I test drove a used XR4ti. Fast car. I was in high school and insurance would have been $2,600.00 a year.
  12. I like it. Congrats. Very clean.
  13. Yeah, I cannot keep it. This is the one I bought and managed to not tell my wife about for a year. LOL! Anyway, I have taken a sabbatical from work and do not need two 02's at this moment.
  14. The 5spd requires patience and hope when it was installed plenty of room was banged out in the transmission tunnel. The clutch slave cylinder fits up in there tightly and it is difficult to get to it. Some people have actually cut a hole in the transmission tunnel to get easier access. I got the car in the air, dropped the transmission a bit down on the cross member and then used about two feet of extensions for my ratchet to get in there to tighten it all up.
  15. First are you running a 4spd or 5spd? Makes a difference.
  16. Lets just say Blunt knows where everything is in the garage!!
  17. Remember to check your grounds as well.
  18. OK, I have narrowed the situation down. When turning ignition on and wiper switch is out, wipers run fine and turn signals work. When I push the wiper switch in to shut it off, fuse blows. Is the fault with the switch or? Unfortunately, I am not good with electrics. Please post or give me a call at six one two, two eight one, four three nine one. Thanks.
  19. Blunt, could you send me the .pdf as well? I am sorting the electrical issues on that car and want to make sure the turn signals are properly installed. Would have been a retrofit on that 72. I was thinking of coming buy tomorrow to grab those wheels if that is still OK. Did Bob send lugnuts with them? I can run by Sears Imports if not. Thx.
