This is an 82 320i that a guy brought to me so I could pull the S14 to put it in his 74 2002. Whoever put this in the 82 took a few shortcuts, so to speak.

To his/her credit, it did run and drive. For how long, the world will never know.

Keep in mind that all this was on one car.
