Pete's Gear Shop, Hayward

I have a 320 LSD that needs the pinion bearing replaced. 02 Salvage recommended Pete's Gear Shop. They quoted 250 for labor + parts. Does this sound reasonable? Does anyone have any experience with these guys? Any other ideas of where to get a diff rebuilt in the bay area? I know that Metric Mechanics and Aardvark will do it but I'd like to avoid shipping it twice if I can.

Also any suggestions on where to get bearings? Wouldn't mind adding a shim to the clutch pack either....

Thanks!
