Hey gang,

Anybody using the 318is electric fuel pump in their stock 02 tank?

Does anybody know what each of the three lines are for the three pin connector? I assume the first two on the other two pin connector are power/ground.

Thanks

Looks to me that the early 318i deal is longer.

Does the fuel level sender bolt to the pickup assembly, or does that mount in another hole in the 318i tank?

power,ground,low fuel light

For everyone's info. Test run the pump with a hose from the reg out to a can to make sure the pump is robust and pumping past the reg at a rate greater than you car will use fuel. And to confirm you have the correct leads to the pump. Leads reversed and it will turn backwards and blow bubbles in the tank but no fuel to the engine!

Also never mentioned, but you can figure it out. Remove the level sensor stilling well to remove/install the pump from/into the tank. It won't come out with the sensor well in place.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.
