Becker Radios... I need info please.

G'day guys & gals.

I am keen to get a Becker radio for my build up... my question for anyone with one or who as done some research is:

"Can you fit an iPod interface to old style ones?"

I am not sure if I dreamt this, but I am sure I read that they all have provisions for one... If you can, I am keen to get on board the Becker radio express!

I want it all to be hidden away - lucky I asked. I almost purchased a Mexico Cassette... I will keep looking. Anyone have a good source for old Becker's at reasonable price or excellent condition?

Yes, The Becker Europa series had a special din plug on the back for connecting a cassette deck. You can get a cable that will support connecting the ipod. The radio kicks out when the ipod is connected and there is a reduction in the volume, but it works great.

That looks great... is that your iPod connection in the bottom right corner of the console image? It obviously connects via the headphone jack on your iPod? What are the gauges also?

Yes, that's the ipod connector on the bottom right. I just broke open the boxed connector supplied with the cable and mounted it directly to my console panel. The gauges are made by Classic Instruments.

i found it on ebay, $70, because it was a mono. The stereo units run more, but are easier to find.

you can also get them refurbished from Becker, same website for the cable.

I called Becker, very nice and informative people. These refurbished units are pricey.

I am also looking for one. If anyone has one to sell.

Also if someone could please post a picture of the proper setup. with how it is to look once installed. Is the trim/mount panel also purchased with the unit?
