engine and drivetrain dressing up the engine

I'd like to dress up my engine just a bit. I have a nice flat black valve cover, but my filler cap looks the part of a 35 year old car. Any sources out there for chrome oil filler caps or at least something that shines a wee bit?

You can have it cleaned or you can paint it. There is actually some good paints out there. I just installed a OEM exhaust that I painted aluminum and it looks verty well.

is yours the metal one? IF so you can buff it up pretty shiney and clear coat it

Mine is black like the cover that I have yet to put on. Doing a valve adjustment this week and I'll change covers. You can certainly buff it and clear coat. Is your cover bare metal on the raised points? I would just do it black.

I have an black colored valve cover with a crinkle finish and original metal oil cap. Its made for an ordinary 2002 not Tii. I can sell it to you for $35 including shipping.

If you don't want to go chrome or polished steel/alum, try a gloss-black plastic M3 Motorsport oil cap. Looks different enough and a little more modern.

Hey - Do you live right by detering and memorial? My brother lives on detering and keeps spotting a red roundie in a garage near there. I've driven by several times but never seen it. Is it yours?

Thanks. Those are Samco Sport silicone performance hoses. They come in black and several other colors. Yes, I'm sure I get an extra 1/2 HP per hose from the red hoses... ;-)

Thanks - I try to keep it looking nice, just like the outside. For a DD, that's not the easist thing...
