Lucas Fog Lights

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I dug these Lucas fog lights out of the garage. They have "M5" and "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the lens (see pics).

I dont know much at all about fog lights but i heard that there are 2 sorts around ie. ones produced in the 60's, 70's and then ones produced recently - however i could be barking up the wrong trail.

What i was wondering is if someone could tell me if these are the older or newer version, what they might have come off or maybe their value. Any other info would also be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks!

Tom

Thanks Shaun!

Eyal gave us 2 sets of fog lights, this being one of them. The other set will probably get put on 'whitey' and this set will be sold. I noticed a set on Oz ebay at the moment for $260 *picks jaw up off the ground* but i dont know if they are the same/similar.

I bought a pair of Lucas round fogs for my 02 off of ebay about two years ago and paid $65 (US dollars) for them. I'm sure I overpaid because they don't work anymore (no joke)...

If you can't find 'em locally, try one of the parts places that specialize in Brit cars..

the fogs had fluted lenses, driving lights were plain glass, like yours. Lucas made yellow driving lights for the French market, which required yellow lamps up into the 80s (see post above re yellow fogs)... Nice period lamps that were still available when early 2002s were being sold. They'd look very cool on an early (67-70) roundie...
