however, the considerable smoke exiting the left side of the car in several of those clips does not bode well for the engine health.

I think most of the smoke is coming from the left front brake.

I was trying to figure out why there was smoke coming from the front when it had rear exhaust... It also didn't seem to be consistent with being on the throttle. Brakes make sense.
