Howdy PNW'ers.

Dipping my toe's in the BMW world and looking to connect. Just picked up a 1972 Malaga Red Roundie. Is an absolute joy and having a blast. Not sure how frequently this group gets together or if there are meet ups. It's been a long-time bucklist item for me to get a 'Roundie' and am beyond stoked.

I'm mainly familiar with air-cooled porsches and am slowly learning about E10s.

Hope to say 'howdy' and meet folks as the days turn sunnier and longer!

Peace-

Welcome, Greg!  I have been a 2002 enthusiast since 1979--and during 1978-79 I was a Porsche mechanic at a dealership in LA.  Went to their training school at VW of America, specialized in 914's and 924's.  Before that I worked as a machinist building hi-perf VW engines.  Just thought I'd toss that in since you have a few in the stable.

I always do it right the second time.

So good to know. I am always looking for Type 4 mechanics... you're becoming an endangered species these days!

Whereabouts do you live?  I'm in Ballard/north Seattle.

I always do it right the second time.

Welcome Greg, looks like you got a nice one. I'm in Ballard as well and help organize a few of the events and get togethers with the PNW group. Make sure to send @Stu your email address to get added to our DL.

Hope to see you round the hood.
