  3. Here is a set of 4 VW stamped Corrado steel wheels, 15x6, and offset of et35. These are the round hole Corrados that (as I understand it) are fairly rare and only made for a couple of years in the 1980's. They fit perfectly on a 2002 or 1600, without any need for spacers. I put them on my car with Yokomaha Advan Fleva 195/50 tires and had no rubbing or other problems. I bought these here on FAQ a little over a month ago, got the tires mounted, and 2 days later went to our annual 02-02-02 event in Seattle. The guy I parked next to had a set of new in the box Rota R20 alloys for sale for a great price. I couldn't resist and the alloys are now on my car. The wheels come with new valve stems. The price I'm asking is less than what I paid for them, and includes shipping anywhere in the lower 48 via UPS ground. Any questions let me know. Thanks.
  4. For sale is a set of Ireland Engineering stage 1 sport springs. These are in new condition never mounted. I've decided to keep my car the stock height (for now). Price (obo) includes shipping to continental US. Thanks.
  5. Here is my '71 1600, fresh out of the paint shop, in San Diego, 1980.
  6. Welcome to the neighborhood! I’m in Anacortes.
  7. That would be my assumption. It will be the subject of a separate thread soon, I'm sure.
  8. Here are a couple of console pics, one from my '76 (sold) and one from my '70 (before stereo installation).
  9. I got an e-mail from Redfin with various and random listings of homes for sale. This photo caught my eye for some reason . . . In Santa Monica, CA. Stu.
  10. Appears that XXX Rootbeer closed its doors yesterday for good. The article does indicate that it was sold on Nov 20, unstated whether the new owner will re-open or bulldoze it down. Glad I went to the annual meet and eat this year! https://www.seattletimes.com/life/food-drink/triple-xxx-root-beer-drive-in-closes-after-5-decades-in-issaquah/
  11. Sure, let me know when. I’m at 206 300-3207.
  12. For sale is a Getrag 245 5 speed transmission. I bought this used here on the 'Q about 5 months ago, for my '70 2002. I have since changed my mind, and am going to keep the stock 4 speed (I don't venture far from home these days). It was represented as a good condition trans, from a pre 1981 320i, and it shifted without any issues although the shifter platform has been removed for ease of storage. It has a 3 bolt output flange. The output shaft seal should be replaced as usual, but otherwise it's ready to go. Asking $1,200.00, which is what I paid for it. The trans is located in Anacortes, WA, which is about a 1.5 hour drive north of Seattle. I can meet you in Mount Vernon, which is 1 hour from Seattle, or some other convenient location, but otherwise I cannot ship this unit (I bought it locally myself and picked it up from the seller in Mount Vernon). Thanks, Stu.
  13. Brand new vent window gaskets, left and right, purchased from Maximillian. They are $45.70 each, plus shipping. Asking $75.00 shipped to continental US. Thanks, Stu.
  14. Contact Patrick O’Neil at midnight motorsport in West Seattle.
  15. Looking to buy a good condition Getrag 245 5 speed for my '02. Will pay shipping + handling to Seattle, WA. Thanks! Stu.
  16. It sold, thanks for your interest. Stu.
  17. *Sale pending* For sale is an Ireland Engineering shorty header, with the optional ceramic coating. It's been on my car since January 2021, just removed yesterday. I decided to go back to a stock-ish (tii) manifold. It's in excellent condition, no issues, no cracks or any problems. I have not cleaned it up at all--the photos are as is was when removed. These are $515.00 at IE, asking $350.00 plus $25.00 shipping anywhere in the lower 48. Thanks.
