Price: $30000
Location: Turlock, CA

Description:

I was hoping to prevent this from happening but after getting tossed around by shops and dumping more and more money into this car, my cousin has decided its time to let it go. The asking price is big and not a typo. He has a lot more than that into it. I was helping him a few years back, but when I got married I couldnt make the trip up and then he was "left for the wolves" ...

Car starts easily but needs to be tuned. It is basically stuck in that 90% done phase, though I believe it to be closer to 100 than that. I have a build thread from years ago on R3vlimited. Im working on getting fresh pics now that its back at his house. PM me for more details.

What does it have?

-M10 with a MLS Headgasket. E21 Intake. Good & Tight Turbo Manifold. GT28 turbo. ARP Headstuds. Ireland Engineering 284 camshaft, HD Rockers. Ireland Engineering Aluminum Radiator, silicone hoses.

-5-Speed Conversion using Ireland Engineering parts

-Ireland Engineering Suspension

-Ireland Engineering Wilwood Front & Rear Brakes

-TEP Rear Battery Mount/ Rear shock tower brace

-Italvolanti Steering Wheel. E30 Comfort Seats (I think)

-Obviously a lot more that Im forgetting...

What does it need?

Minor parts here and there. Exhaust is just a downpipe right now, but pretty much everything else is there.

If you're good with Megasquirt and good with electrical work, this is for you. Its basically done and just needs to find someone who sees what he was going for, likes it and can finish it.

Can you post a link to the photos please....the one up doesn’t work (for me anyway)..

I fixed the link to the build thread. The Flickr album alone isnt very helpful without the chatter that goes with it on the build thread

Cool build.  Your limiting strap on the passenger side motor mount goes under the motor mount.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
