engine and drivetrain Any market for a 69 m10 engine and trans?

Friend has had this sitting in his shop, is ther any market for engines? Or better to scrap it?

Has the transmission also.

If it's worth something what's a good asking?

Don't scrap it. There's always a market for M10s. I see them go for $300 and up, up, up. Condition is the main factor for pricing.

But they do not go for much unless there is something special for it. I had my engine + tranny listed for months before selling them both for under $200 total. It was located in a smaller city though.

Do you know the motor number?  There may be someone looking for a motor in a certain number range, or need parts that are date stamped to match their car if they're doing a concours style restoration.  That one looks pretty original--metal oil filler cap, old style fuel pump and obviously the original carb.  Hope they plugged up the distributor hole, though.
