Shift pattern transfers

It's not too difficult.  Just takes some getting used to.  Maybe someone can post a tutorial.   I could in future, but no time right now.

Yes it is too difficult. And yes I read the tutorials and even commented on them. I clearly uploaded to an album so I know how. It is just a really cumbersome process for a site that is otherwise so attractive, capable and useful.

2002FAQ has decided not to take direct uploads for either space or safety reasons. That is ok but you can't link photos from the most convenient places like Dropbox or Google Photos because the filenames don't have the right extension.

To upload individual pictures you must upload to an album and then get a link for each picture and then click the little photo icon and paste the link FOR EACH FRICKIN PICTURE. If you are trying to post 5 pictures about a car mod that is really finicky and time consuming.

I get that this is a labor of love and I am sure Steve spends tons of time and money keeping it clean. I would be willing to donate more money to buy a 3 TByte HDD for the server so we can upload directly. Or just find a way to let us link directly to Google Photos where my cellphone automatically uploads everything.

Sorry for the OT rant.

Gastephens:

Thank you again for the pics, they are very appreciated.  I am also working on the Behr AC stencils for you.  One quick note, if the previous lettering is raised or recessed (for AC stencils) it will be difficult to get a 100% match.  Flat surfaces will be ok, the same applies for dash letters.

Its going to be a big weekend of check & re-check ( I actually enjoy the process), then off to manufacturing.....

Best wishes,

Mo Faraz

Just wanted to post a quick update, I sent the files in this morning....the next step is waiting for them to reach me (I will post another update soon).

I should add a big thank you to all the forum members who showed interest and made this into a reality.  Please also contact Stan regarding the shift patterns as he will be selling the lot.

I will add instructions shortly and will include the dash stencils in succession.

I am just bumping this thread for Stan, he has more transfers available for sale.  Feel free to contact him to purchase a set.  He has also sent me questions regarding adhesion, but if your prep your surface properly, there should be no problems.

Remember that these are 40+ year old cars and the surface is a textured vinyl so perfect adhesion is up to each individual application.

Please contact Stan with your questions.

Hi All

Interesting that this post is still going! I have just ordered a dog leg from Mo. I originally saw them for sale on my2002tii.com at quite a very reasonable price. Unfortunately it appears that site has closed down. I did price them up at a specialist place here in the UK but the price was a little high - £20+VAT(20%)+£10 postage for two. The only comment is that all I have seen show a "kink" to reverse - which in reality does not exist - reverse is directly opposite to first. At least that is the way it has felt for 36 years!

Anyway. looking forward to its arrival and finally not having to explain to numerous mechanics that it is a dog leg first - the same as my Ferrari - well, as it was, until I got married and had kids.....

Cheers

TY
