I put this motor in my car this summer and am driving it until i have time and money to rebuild the original motor. being in college this might take a while... I've looked at the vin and cannot seem to find what it's originally from. pulled it out of a rear ended 74 this summer but didnt check if it matched the car vin.

i've just noticed in the pic that it looks like there's another faded number on there?

the vin is 4723621

thanks in advance.

Check the year stamped under the exhaust header. My block turned out to be from a 78 e21.
