fair condition,

runs but needs a bit work.

E-mail inquiries.

$1,200.oo

"rare" = because it's not been crushed/recycled

" runs" ? = ("ran when parked") "runs" like what?

leaks everywhere?, "runs" but no brakes?, pops

out of gear? some minor vibrations? ..............?

"Fair condition" = so it needs how much$$$$ to

make it GOOD?, and how many more $$$$$$ for EXCELLENT?

photos would certainly help

sounds like a $120.oo car without photos

C.D., take your pills and call us back...

...when you own a 2002!

pfffftttt!!!!

Seriously, a cheap 2500 in ANY condition other than basket case warrants at least a look... if you're local.

And want one.

Umm.... 2500's are actually quite rare. It's the earliest (and in some ways cleanest/purest) E3 you can find, they have an awesome high compression motor that revs real fast, some people prefer the all-chrome grilles and other early E3 touches, etc. Plus, if you actually enjoy driving, you'll find that compared to a 2800CS of the same years, they actually have disc brakes all around, a better rear suspension design, 100X better chassis, etc. If you see a decent early E3 in your area for a reasonable price, buy it!

I agree! Back when I was in college in Daytona, the guy I worked with had a 2500 Automatic. He used to say "That car supersedes my marriage!" One night I was driving it and entered I95 North and let it rip in 2nd all the way to 6500 rpm. Entering the highway I had to do a triple lane swoop to pass a truck. Once in the left lane I was behind a late model 5 series. A couple of flashes of the high beams and he moved over for me to pass at well over 100.
