Do 74+ door panels fit earlier cars? Couldn't find answer via search thx

The only difference I know is in the trim. The early cars had more of the chromed plastic bits. The 'stitching' or embossing differs from the early cars to the mid-run cars to the late cars.

If you want them to be correct, then try to match the year model as close as possible. If you just want some to look good, get whatever ones you can find.

Only you and us will know the difference.

My panels were new 10 years ago and the Mylar looks like crap. I dont expect that I can cleanly replace with Dave's Mylar kit so I would rather install a later set. World upholstery has them at a decent price. Has anybody purch these?

WU panels are exact reproduction of 74+ panels. You need to re-use the hardware, punch new holes on the vinyl, and glue it over the new waterproof cardboards.

I have early and late original panels at home and they are different length. Don't know when the changed.

My car is a 70 but came with 74" panels they fit just fine. If only the previous owner had not decided to cut holes pro some huge speakers on them I would keep em.

We also sell both if you are interested.

Are you sure , the doors are the same , but in saying that I have late ones on an early car and they always catch just a bit when you open the door .Never thought of being diff lengths , can anyone else confirm this?

I have a new pair from WU, never installed. Will unload for $200/pair. All black and beautiful (74+)

There is a very slight difference in the reproductions. Not many people could even tell but I am looking for a pair of mint original black door panels for 1974.
