2000 tilux #1445204 on UK eBay

"BMW 2000 tilux.. If you know your vintage then you will know that this car is extremely rare and in this condition rarer still. NOT TO BE MISSED..

Condition is good with some small rust spots but solid.

The car is complete and was last used in 1999 and was garaged since. The car would be fantastic if restored or even part restored as everything is pretty much there.

I have spare bumpers, fuel tank, rear lights, a new front indicator, clocks and a few bits and bobs in good condition, these will go with the car.

I bought the car because of its rareity and how good the body work is considering its age. The engine bay is really solid in all areas....

I have mislaid the key and the tilux badge is missing off the back.

I would advise anyone interested to come and view the car first... "

That is very much a TiLux, '69> 2nd gen with the later dash. Note the wood on the door panels, as well as the car having the horizontal taillights/rectangular headlights.... The 2000Ti's were the earlier single headlight/vertical taillight bodies to satisfy the homologation rules to be able to use the 1800 TiSA parts. Also, 2000Ti's were only produced till May of '68.

Cheers,

  • 2 weeks later...

That is now Paul Hills new baby - it's in safe hands. I used to have a 2000Ti Fraser Nash - special badge engineering for the UK market. Wish I had a close up of the badge - very cool. Funnily enough it was the first time I met Paul when he came to view the car when I decided to sell (it paid for my s14 engine!)

Very cool. I knew that Paul was going to look at it but I never found out what happened.

Is it ok with you if I save the pic of the 2000ti in your post so that it can be added to our 2000/ti/tii/Tilux photo album at http://tinyurl.com/4xoy73n ?

Of course it is - here are the other 2 shots I have of her - can't beleive I don't have more. You can just make out the extra Fraser Nash badge on the front wing too. Don't know Pauls plans, but somehow I don't think he'll be driving her to the Bavaria Tour next week!

Just noticed for the first time that my UK car had French spec rear lights to go with the extra reversing lights. Weird. If I'd ever seen another Fraser Nash car I'd compare notes, but apart from a rusted out scrapper in a field I never have.

Great! Thanks for the extra pics. You're probably right about Paul not taking his 'new car' on the Bavaria Tour. There's always next year though.

The following links just might be able to give you a better look at the lights.

diificult to be 100 percent sure from the b&w shots, but I'm pretty sure those two Fraser Nashs have French lights too. Learn something every day (if only I didn't forget at least one thing as well).
