I am back from a tour in Africa ( 7 months) and I am selling off my baby...

She was garaged for the time I was away, and yesterday I got in an she started right up. No battery charging needed and not a drop of fluid underneath.

Some basic info:

1976 2002, blue (original color) in great shape. No bodywork/bondo/etc

Runs and drives perfect. No leaks, no smoke, passed smog and registered in California.

My mechanic, who specializes in classic European cars, gave her a detailed inspection and found no faults.

Compression test shows 140psi in every cylinder.

The list of work done is long and I have receipts and PHOTOGRAPHIC documentation for EVERYTHING!

Heater box/core rebuild (works great with no leaks)

All new shocks

Complete set of new front end bushings (polyurethane)

Weber 32/36 CA legal Carb Kit

Pertronics Ignition with new plugs and leads

Original air filter and after market chrome filter (both)

Complete new exhaust (Headers to Muffler) - with exhaust manifold gasket

Valves and seals cleaned and tuned

new valve cover gasket

New 80amp Alternator

All electrical wires/connections refurbished/cleaned/greased/tested

speedo/tach/odometer/dash lamps etc in perfect working order

Transmission shifts great through all gears

Clutch is perfect

New Grant steering wheel

New seat belts

Rebuilt center console

Rear seat, door panels, rear interior side panels in perfect original condition

Electric Fuel pump conversion

Complete new brake system including braided lines, cylinders, pads, seals, and new Master Cylinder

New gas filler neck and seals

This is an original California car. I purchased her from the second owner who left it sitting in a warehouse for 10+ years. My goal was to get her to reliable running condition to be used as a second car...which I did, and now its on to another project.

What it needs for full restoration:

Headliner

Carpet

Re-upholster of front seats

Dash repair (the usual cracking)

Priced to sell asap at $5000 (FIRM)

Pink slip on hand as well as smog certs.

The biggest problem you have is it being a 76 in CA. Drivers seat isn't helping much.

+1, the year and having to go through emissions in CA. You may try to post it in other states where emissions won't be a problem. Ebay perhaps?

Yeah... I had to go through the nightmare of smogging it

But I got it passed and its good for another two years!

... I have now gone from "firm" to "OBO"....

...stupid economy.
