  1. I'll be there in my M20 Turbo Inka car, it it makes it that far....
  2. I'm in Orlando and also active on cfbmw.org. They mentioned your name to me the other day but I can't remember why. I have an '02 if it'll ever run again! I'm right near downtown as well.
  3. I'll be there but I doubt in my '02, we'll see if I can get a turbo here and installed by then. It's an awesome show though!
  4. I'm in Orlando with my Inka M20 turbo car, new turbo is ordered so I should be up and running before long...
  5. Mine's a top mount and a mighty big turbo for a mighty little car.
  6. I have one, custom manifold was used, now an ebay manifold, 57mm turbo, and JGS precision wastegate. It isnt the easiest but alot of custom stuff and it works.
  7. haha, My M20 turbo and I are definitely not the right crowd to be hanging out with!
  8. The orange one is mine, Dave Pineda Turbo front copy airdam and Ireland flares.
  9. I'd love to see what times you guys turn out there, my 2.5L m20 did 15.1 at 93mph a while back and then turbo on 8lbs of boost it did 13.45 at 107mph. Soon to be a 12 in it, bigger turbo and more boost. Oh and my M3 buddies are getting quicker, so I have to go shut all of them down! Post times after this! THANKS! -Curtis '72 Inka 2.7L M20 Turbo
  10. I just heard about this myself and many thanks to everyone! The car is currently down for a new turbo, manifold, and head porting. I was getting close to 300hp, now the goal is 400 on much more boost, we shall see! Thanks again, I can't wait to find this issue, it's not out here yet!
  11. The orange one you guys linked to and Mike posted a picture of is my car, just email me for any pics, I'll get you whatever you need.
  12. As he said, anything in the southeast and I'm there. Gotta lay some rubber in other states so just let me know when/where and I'll blast on out.
  13. Weird, I'll just keep trying I guess, I am using the number off of their website, figured it'd be good. My car was putting 270 crank hp on the 8lbs of boost. That was on a 2.5L, now I am at 2.7L and 10lbs of boost, pulls noticably harder! I'll have to get some answers on my tranny here soon, its driving me nuts driving my E30. Can you send me his contact info though, nobody seems to know that a 323i tranny even exists when I talk to them.
  14. Weird, I guess I'll try and keep calling. Mike, sorry my '02 doesnt run right now, that's why I need Korman. I am trying to find a rebuild kit for my 323i tranny, any ideas anyone?
  15. Anyone know if Korman autoworks has a new phone number or is out of business or something? I keep trying to call or email them with questions, get a voicemail, transfer to a receptionist, and then still get a genereal mailbox. Anyone dealt with them lately? -Curtis
  16. I've been looking for what diff's look similar to an '02 diff and none look too easy. If I break another, I'll make something big fit that I can't destroy. Most of the diffs break in burnouts and launches. The number one cause would be trying to shift quick or slamming a gear so I haven't done that in months, just get it in gear and when boost is built, it catches 99/100 cars on the road pretty quickly. Only one has broken under moving load and that was a VERY loud boom and lots of grip. I like wheelspin because it just makes smoke and such, no big breakage.
  17. Hey there, I am the turbo M20-2002 idiot that has been eating diffs for a while now. I am back to a 3.64LSD which seems to hold quite well for the last 6 months now. The open diffs just can't handle the power or torque. I am at about 300bhp and 320lbft and this diff seems quite good. I am still looking/waiting to find something unbreakable so I can up the boost and got for about 400bhp. Anyone help me in that area? -Curtis
  18. Hey all, yep, that'd be my broken '02. I still have her, don't plan to sell it anymore, I bought a $200 E30 to drive while I do alot to the '02. The SPEC Clutch I bought for the turbo M20 failed so I got another one of them and now the tranny is dead so looking for a Getrag rebuild for a 323i tranny. Not fun. Anyways, I'll definitely get a bunch more pics once the car is back on the road and some fly-by videos of 300bhp and straight 3" exhaust on 10lbs of boost. I'm still around, just been super busy! -Curtis
  19. That'd be my car and I DO track it, done laps on Sebring and Gainesville raceway here in central florida and always looking for more. The 1/4 mile time was just to see what it would run. I got enough grief at the track for having a car that would outhandle anything there and even wanting to run it down the track; until they saw under the hood. I just ran it for a number to throw in the magazine and that's that. The car is built to be the ultimate street machine, has coilovers, all urethane, Bilsteins, big brakes and I like to think a driver that can make the car do anything he wants. I def. gained respect at Sebring from a bunch of fast cars knowing that I only had the 170hp out of the M20. The extra 100hp more really makes it a screamer and boost comes in very linear. It's still a very trackable car and I will show that soon enough. Thanks for the good words from a few of you and for those of you bashing that there was a 1/4 mile listed, know that the car is much much more than a drag car and the driver HATES going in a straight line. -Curtis
  20. Thanks all, I am trying my hardest not to sell the car and it keeps breaking awkward pieces. I doubt it will get sold, it's my baby and I know I'd regret it!
  21. I have looked into all the upgrading and strengthening and it just isnt worth the thousands of dollars to put it in a tiny 02 diff. I can't see that little thing holding the power I want to put down no matter how much I strengthen it. It's time for an E30 diff or E36 diff, I need bigger, I'm doing my measurements now unless someone else has a solution.
  22. Okay, well after 3 diffs now blown in the last month, I need to upgrade to something stronger. The 02 diff is just not enough to hold my 270+hp and more than that in torque. Who runs anything but a 2002 diff in their cars? I am open to any suggestions at this point, the car is down once again. Curtis '72 M20 Turbo 02
