  1. Appreciate the input and photos all. Is there anything the Icear unit does not include? Compressor bracket, face plate, anything I will need to source? my car is at the body shop now, about to go to paint ( for three months..:) Is there a template I can give to the body guy to know where the lines go through before he starts paint? thanks, Dennis
  2. Looking at purchasing an A/C unit. Actually, replacing the original Clardy that I purchased but never installed and ended up selling. Two options for new units I see are D-Technic which seems to be a Hurricane heater and A/C combo that replaces the heater box. Other option is Ice-Air, I believe the new iteration of the original Clardy unit. The Hurricane option eliminates fresh air, but also is advertised as minimizing gas smell in the cabin as it isn't pulling from right next to the engine. I am installing side drafts so I understand, the gas smell is part of it with the traditional heater box. Ice-Air is a proven unit, just difficult to find out what the specifications are for the individual components from the company. Sanden clone or original, size and type of condenser, fan strength (CFU) etc. I have sent messages and he refers me to the installation instructions which lack any specifications. Any thoughts of the likelihood of minimizing gas smell vs loss of fresh air? Thanks, Dennis
  3. Glue it in place? Not sure what kind of temperature the glue needs to tolerate, and one that won't off gas every time I turn the heater on
  4. Part 2 What is the tab I've marked for? Guessing it is an attachment point for mounting the box but not certain. Thanks,
  5. I pulled an image from someone else. Mine isn't assembled yet. Unfortunately I don't have the original.
  6. Rebuilding the heater box. The heater box rebuild article mentions a resistor heat shield, made out of aluminum, picture as below. What are people using? Thanks, Dennis
  7. Thanks all! Appreciate the info Dennis
  8. @M3M3M3: what is the name of the tool?
  9. Any guess whether the wider tab as seen in the first picture should sit towards the center of the car or outside? If known that would help me figure out which side I need to replace. I will try fitting it to the bumper, see if it sits perpendicular or off to one side. Thanks, Dennis
  10. Early versions are identical. Later they are sided. I'm just not certain whether the one I have is based on the early or late model. Thanks, Dennis
  11. I have a stainless steel bumper set I believe the prior owner purchased from 02bumpers. I can only find one of the two covers and trying to figure out whether the one I have can be used on either side or is specifically for right or left. The only difference is the different width of the cut out on one end. Can anyone identify this as either right or left? Thanks, Dennis
  12. I’m curious about the subframe brace for the rear. Any pictures?

  18. Any link or name for the aluminum mount? Thanks, Dennis
  19. Showed my wife your ad. She wants to know if Gumby and Pokey come with it
  20. Trying to clean up the resistor I have, one of the coils is broken. Could this type of resistor, matched to the needed voltage, resistance, etc be used? I'm guessing there is less heat generation as well. Thanks, Dennis
