    Looking at swapping the current 4 sp with a 240/5. Read several posts, trying to make sure I am comparing apples to apples. 1. Will this fit the tunnel without modification (I believe it may as it is more square than the 245 from a previous post) 2. Not the more desirable 245/5, but was rebuilt by BMW in Germany. If I understood correctly, the weaker internals would have been replaced when rebuilt. Dependable, sturdy? Using it as daily driver with occasional track days.     Looking at the 2002 you sold in 2012 w/ the M20 engine swap. Simply stunning and pretty much exactly how I would like a current restoration to end up looking. Do you remember how much it was lowered?
