  1. Have the rules for "bumping" for sale ads been updated? I lowered the price of an item I am selling, but it remains on the second page. Thanks, Dennis
  2. Bit of a computer luddite. I can get the picture to attach, but not to automatically open. 1. VIN #1675437 so 2 liter 2. Casting date is March 24(?), 1970 (“24(?)C 70”) so came from a 1970 Lunarkingdom, you asked whether it turns freely. Yes, it turns freely Thanks, Dennis old engine VIN.pdf
  3. Ended up selling the 1969 2002 body that went with the engine. I bought the car in pieces, so cannot attest to its condition other than what I was told. Seller runs a BMW repair shop and the car was "Project #5". He said it ran well, no issues. Not sure how much value it has. I do know I am paying to store it, and it is too heavy to throw over the fence into the neighbor's pool. Asking $200, if unrealistic let me know. Includes everything as seen in the pictures. Thanks for looking, Dennis
  4. Catch and release. I purchased a set of Tii trailing arms from fellow 2002faq'er last year, not going to end up using them. Includes the Tii trailing arms, spacers, bearings, hubs, and backing plates. Some rust on one of the spring perches as seen in the pictures. Price $425obo plus shipping. Thanks for looking, Dennis
  5. I have front and rear side windows, green tint (original, not aftermarket tint). They are used, in good condition. Free if you pick them up Thanks, Dennis
  6. Had my brake booster tested at a local shop. This was in the back.
  7. Wanting to drop the front subframe to switch out without pulling the engine. How safe/effective are the engine support bars like this Harbor Freight version? Thanks, Dennis
  8. Is cold a good thing or a bad? Are they unsafe? thanks Dennis
  9. Makes more sense than lubricant. thanks
  10. I’m switching the bumpers on my recently purchased 72 2002. The prior owner had painted the bumper black and I am replacing it with a standard chrome bumper. Question is how to best protect the paint where the metal bracket sets against the painted surface of the trunk of the car. I thought about putting a dab of grease between the two surfaces, but wasn’t sure if grease would be more harmful to the paint then possible abrasion from mating the two metal surfaces. Thoughts? Thanks, Dennis
  11. This was my approach. Paid a vinyl wrap auto shop to do it. Came out great. Panels aren’t installed yet so no comment on durability
  12. Thanks to all for input, ended up getting a lightly modded car out of Reno NV. Bored engine, slightly lowered. Carbs need work, and possibly a 2002sOnly carb linkage setup.
  13. Agree completely, if my skill set were more complete I would do more of the work. Dennis
  14. Looking at switching gears from my current "Pile O' Parts Project" to purchasing a drivable car. Don't mind body/paint not being perfect, blemishes are fine. Interested in a 2002 that has been modified for handling/braking/power but can still be used for routine driving. Standard transmission, prefer 5 speed. Whatcha got? Thanks, Dennis
  15. I have a set of earlier door cards if interested Dennis
  16. PM'd regarding a diff and passenger side saddle door card
  17. Alas, no. (Insert inappropriate joke here about what else should be included for the price ) Dennis
