    Are you sure you're at TDC? I checked both the flywheel, valve rockers, and the cam wheel to set TDC on mine. Any vacuum leaks?

    I had similar troubles. I did what Darrin said and kept stabbing until I got the alignment close. I still wound up with about 10 degrees of what I assumed was static advance. I started it up and used my basic timing light, retarded it a few degrees and then set to play with the curves. Still need help on this part :-)
