  1. I'm not sure that jack is for a 2002, be nice to get a better picture of it alone, but either way the jack leg needs to be in the lowest position. The only jacks I've seen were made by Bilstein but to tell the truth I don't ever touch the jack much.
  2. Hey, finally some one running a quick change rear end just like the old school hot roders.
  3. Here's the miracle product you need to repair that and turn your car into a boat!!!
  4. This looks pretty boring. Took them all of 40 feet to do it.
  5. Well the government can mandate what it wants but the free market will provide what's best for it, after all the US signed the treaty of the meter in 1875 making us the 3rd country to go to the metric standard.
  6. You need to try a 9.5x875 belt, it will fit into the pully deeper, what was sold to you is the more common 10x875 belt that's for a e21 320i which uses different set of pulleys, this is a common assumption among parts houses but you'll be much better off using the right belt.
  7. Now if you lived in one of the PUD counties along the Columbia River in Washington where they just about pay you to use electricity a EV might make some sense.
  8. If after a few tries starting no fuel is on the plugs I'd check the cold start injector to see if it is squirting while cranking
  9. I vote no on adding any tar. If you coat the floor with truck bed liner it will cut the noise quite a bit when combined with a mat product.
  10. I'd recommend resealing the 4 floor plugs unless the sealer used looks to be in great shape. Other than that clean and ruff up the floor as per the primer instruction and go for it.
  11. As a general rule after 3 good starting tries unplug the cold start valve for the next 3 cranks otherwise you'll flood it.
  12. Yup gota pull the cover and see, it might be a 75%er and you'll never get it to lock by hand. Should look like this one if it's a lsd.
  13. IMO is the original Ti air can boosts low end torque to the point you can go up a size on your chokes and plenty of top end, back in the day BMW had a dyno and knew how to use it.
  14. Esty you need to connect the #86 and 87 contact at the relay together to energize the coil while cranking.
  15. The round light cars have a relay that when cranking provides 12+v from the battery to make a hotter spark than the resistor circuit, this has failed on your car so you get no spark when cranking and when you let go of the key the run position the circuit returns to the resistor voltage and the car will run if your lucky.
  16. Check the side play on your chain, on a worn chain you'll see quite a bit movement between the links and rivets.
  17. The DOT whiffed on approving headlights long ago, which explains the new look headlights that put out way to much light with no beam control or focus.
  18. The blue book has you remove the door panel first and then the springs, section 51 41 000 and that was the way my car came from the factory, the OEM files are for part numbers and not meant for assembly order.
  19. Scott, the window winder cone spring is part # 51321819453. the other 2 are coils springs I can't find numbers for but they are very light duty they just hold the door card vinyl against the plastic cup to prevent drafts, you should be able to find workable springs at any hardware store. Well shit.
  20. If your engine has a reground cam chances are it will have lash caps on top of the valve stem, is these can wear a dish in the center of them so when you set your valves the feeler bridges the dish so you think you've got it set right only for it to clatter when you start it.
  21. I also picked up on the plug, looks to be plastic, but it sure might be in the way of the rotor seating.
