  1. Finally getting around to this :S ...was looking at the pieces while BBQ'ing last night I removed the rubber seals from the master cylinder, so, I will try to pop them on to the (e21) brake fluid reservoir nipples (hahahahah he said nipples) before squeezing/pushing them (with reservoir installed) back on to the master cylinder. Having no experience with these parts, I'll ask a long shot question, is there any type of sealant which goes around the grommets? thanks peeps!
  2. cool, i never even knew this was an option on the 02.
  3. I don't know if I'm over thinking this. I will be installing a brake reservoir which sits directly on the master cylinder. I just see 2 rubber seals. Do I just force it in? Is there a trick/procedure? I used google and searched on here but didn't find anything conclusive thanks for your help. e21 reservoir + single line master cylinder.
  4. Question for you guys... I had also installed the digital display my fasten seatbelt pod. Do you guys know if I would be able to run a different wideband kit (like AEM) and wire the digital gauge to work? Crazy question? Thanks, Anthony
  5. Thanks Tommy. It also happens when I'm driving with fully charged batt and alternator running 13v
  6. Mine was pre-soldered... But if you haven't bought yet the after purchase service isn't great. I sent questions and don't get answers. I even mentioned that I would buy another if there was an issue... nothing. It seems the sensor makes a intermittent distortion on the speakers (heard when music is very low or nothing playing) at the same time the voltage drops when this happens. It's a pattern... 2 seconds nothing, 1 second voltage drop/interference and repeat. I think it's the o2 sensor or board because when I cut power (to it), it stops. Anyone else?
  7. yes, I also installed automatic door locks
  8. This happened to me (except it was in the lock position ). Like others said it was because the little tab (at the back of the lock cylinder) swung out of the channel on the door lock assembly. Then it gets wedged up against the side of it, not allowing you to turn it back. I believe, the blog someone posted above was what i found after breaking my key.
  9. Looking for the reservoir which will mount on top of the master cylinder. thanks, Anthony
  10. Oh crap Thanks for the info Mike. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
  11. same... mine got a little greased up during the install (any recommendations to get it shinny again?)
  12. It looks like a 2002, no mistake.... but it also looks awkward.
  13. just sharing...? https://www.topgear.com/car-news/modified/you-can-now-make-your-old-bmw-1-series-look-2002
  14. In order to fund further improvements to my 2002 (LSD), I’ve decided to make a Driving light/Fog light brackets. The same ones I made for my 2002 (with some improvements). Driving / Fog Light Brackets. The brackets are for “bumperless” 2002 owners. The brackets do not require any drilling. They are secured to the body using the threaded holes used for the 2x bumper “bows.” #16 on this: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/images/diag_ff4.png Each bracket is made up of 2 pieces; 1 mounts to the car behind the grill, the other attaches to it and has the provision for the light. The brackets sit nice and tight to the body, so they don't stand out too much. The brackets are made out of 1/8” steel. Photos of prototype: Included Pair of painted (2 piece), light brackets. 2x rubber grommets (to pass wires) 2x screws, 2x acorn-nuts, 2x washers, 2x lock washers $119usd + shipping from Montreal, Canada. I required 4 committed buyers before production. Following commitment, the brackets will be shipped within 2 weeks.
  15. I bought a BERU Voltage regulator to test if my regulator was failing... the problem turned out to be my alternator. So, I'm selling it. $25usd + shipping. thanks, Anthony
  16. Just to follow up on this thread. I "borrowed" a friends alternator. Which i was happy to see turned out to be a 70amp unit. The crackling noise is gone but I only installed in a couple of days before storage . Thanks again everyone for your input.
  17. those wheels are kinda cool. any photo of them on your 2002?
  18. these look cool... would you happen to have a photo mounted on the 02?
  19. nothing yet they're very pricey everywhere. i think ECS had the best price: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/alternator-support-bracket/12311284306/
  20. does anyone know where else I can look (other than new)?
  21. Hi Guys, Wanting to upgrade my alternator... does anyone have these items? E30 alternator support bracket E30 alternator adjusting bar + nut. thanks, Anthony
  22. Ah, maybe on the video it sounds like that... but it's crackling over the speakers, the fasten seatbelt and A/F senso gauge flicker at the same time. If I turn-off the stereo, the crackling goes away but the flickering on seatbelt indicator + a/f gauge messing up remains... with revs. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
  23. By mechanical, you mean, interference created by movement (something spinning, etc). I hadn't thought of this as a trouble shooting option. Thanks! It sounds low to me... it occurs with aux fan on + lights + stereo (+ maybe fan in car). Not sure of the alternator age, I have a friend starting an 02 project. I will go borrow his alternator to try it out. Edit: since it's an inexpensive test, I just ordered a Beru Voltage Regulator. thanks everyone!!!! Will report back, Anthony
  24. I fully charged the batt... and the noise is even more predominant + it happens at a lower RPM. I need to invest more time looking at this... but with the lack of info online it's depressing.
