  2. Occasionally the ignition key will stick in the start position , making the starter run with the engine !! I can feel the key stick sometimes ( with the battery disconnected for testing purposes it has a slight click at start & will sometimes stick. Does anyone have a solution or experience with this problem. Cheers

  4. Mine arrive out here in the middle of the Pacific Ocean , what a brilliant job , Thanks to you and your wife for doing this . I mounted it all in a binder , we're looking good now .

  8. I have to go back to England & do the revival next year , it's a must see event , I've had friends go for years . I even have a tweed jacket & cap !!! I went to Chateau Impney last year for the hill climb, that was amazing too with the Lancaster bomber flyover !! Thanks for the write up link , brilliant photos, capturing the event. Cheers

  11. I really enjoyed that movie, he's quite the movie maker , the rejection scenes were brilliant, different & that's exactly how rejection feels . His car so not surprised by his actions , he's quite the stunt man. It was really entertaining , thanks for posting , I can't wait for chapters 2 & 3 .

FYI The Close ratio Jensen Healey 5 speed gearbox is only close ratio with a final drive in 5th of 1:1 it's not an overdrive gearbox so be aware .That is the info I have found out when restoring a Jensen Healey a while ago. Wikipedia ;The initial transmission was a four-speed Chrysler unit, which was also used in the Sunbeam Rapier. The Mk 2 cars from 1975 onwards used the same Getrag 235/5 five-speed gearbox that was offered as an optional but rare gearbox on some models of the BMW 2002.[note 1][2]As a deliberate sports car gearbox, this was a close-ratio gearbox: unusually, fifth gear is not an overdrive gear but a direct 1:1 ratio.[3] Even closer ratios for competition were available from Getrag and sometimes fitted to Jensen-Healeys, but were not a factory option

  23. Thanks, the PO had a micky mouse "core support I re did it .No need to change it, it holds the hood hinges , radiator & horns and is plenty rigid . M10 engine would be an easy transplant, if deemed necessary
