2 Questions about my carb, as I approach the setup here:
1. In photo 1, is the vacuum port above the mixture screw simply the hookup for the distributor vacuum advance? Plug it since I have a mechanical dizzy?
2. My Redline 38 DGAS instructions refer to the screws on either end of the carb (picture 2) as "idle mixture screws" (plural) and the screw above the throttle cam assembly as the "idle speed screw". During the tuning instructions, they describe setting the idle mixture screw (singular) to achieve lean best idle setting, then adjust the idle speed screw for desired idle speed. So, is the screw on one end THE idle mixture screw, or do you adjust them together or perhaps sequentially? I understand the carb is not progressive, so do both barrels have an idle circuit? I could muddle through it, but it wouldn't suck to hear some real-world experience.
