Has anybody just replaced the stock tank with a fuel cell from say Jegs or the like. It seems like it would be around the same as buying a new one.

what was the ballpark price for the RENU process?

$200-$300 depending on where you send it.

No mess, no fuss, and it comes back looking very pretty.

I am going on 5 years on one tank, and about 7 on the other, you can't go wrong. The inside coating means that it never rusts on the inside. No more clogged fuel filters or other corrosion if it sits all winter.

Guys I will be restoring gas tank. The one on the right was in the car and the other one I got as spare one.

I would be restoring one that will be in better condition if both ones fit. I mesaured space between mounting holes and are the same... one volume is bigger and the throath is longer.

Are both e10 tanks and would be correct for 68 2002?

Thanks

Years ago I my tank on my '77 GMC p/u developed pin holes on the bottom.

I ordered a "pour in empty/dry tank sealer" from JCWhitney....

KREEM LIQUID FUEL TANK LINER KIT= $57.99

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Search?catalogId=10101&storeId=10101&sku=fuel+tank+sealant

The week after I "fixed" it and reinstalled it, I received a free parts truck with a leak free tank. However....the "fix" has held for over 10 years now!

The product I used said do not use alcohol/methanol in tank as it will dissolve the sealant coating. As we all know now, methanol is in all gasoline these days. My tank still has not developed a leak!

I have a tank from a '73 for sale if you cannot fix yours. It does not leak!

I'll let it go for $75 plus shipping if you (or anyone else for that matter) wants it?

I thought the '73s had a return bung on the top of the tank? Or, was the return bung in the pickup unit?
