  1. I would really need only end pieces since center piece I already had restored.
  2. Mine are rusted through and rather than reparing them I would buy better ones. Dented or bad chrome is no problem Preferable in europe due to shipping.
  3. Driver or passenger side since I broke part that is same on each side. Preferable in europe due to shipping
  4. Here you go: https://galma.si/
  5. The cost of dechroming and new chrome job was around 500€ for what is on the photos. Still have bumpers, vent window frame, mask and some smaller pieces to finish the job so I would say aprox 1000€ for the mayority of car trim - but my work of straightening and some polisihing is excluded.
  6. Got majority of trim back from shop - I like the way it came out. Next on schedule bumpers and front mask which needed welding.
  7. Got majority of trim back from shop - I like the way it came out. Also restored e24 grill frame Next on schedule bumpers and front mask which needed welding.
  8. Rust repairs from the past in my case.
  9. Thank you! I am glad that I inspired you to resume work on your 02.
  10. The wait for body shops begins and now it the right time to start working on trim that was removed from the car. Will try to save and restore majority of parts. Waistline belt trim was bent on several places so we straighten it out before it goes to galavanize shop. Mask is also in bad shape but can be repaired nicely (we will see that). We took it apart and straighten what was bent. One slot fell off and few others are barely hanging. Grill, rear light frames, door handles were also taken apart

Waistline belt trim was bent on several places so we straighten it out before it goes to galavanize shop. Mask is also in bad shape but can be repaired nicely (we will see that). We took it apart and straighten what was bent. One slot fell off and few others are barely holding. Grill, rear light frames, door handles were also taken apart We have taken both bumpers apart to start working on dents. Inner side has several layers of paint applied so will have them sandblasted from inside before de-chroming. I got spare tank next to the car so I had both tanks sandblasted to see all the holes. The tank that was on the car was heavily repaired already so I will use bigger tank I think it will fit since measurements are the same except the volume.
  12. Guys I will be restoring gas tank. The one on the right was in the car and the other one I got as spare one. I would be restoring one that will be in better condition if both ones fit. I mesaured space between mounting holes and are the same... one volume is bigger and the throath is longer. Are both e10 tanks and would be correct for 68 2002? Thanks
  13. I checked online here locally since is best to use very fast after pick up. I took 30kg which was enough when I put it in bags so I was able to move it around the floor. 1 kg was 3€ here ... quite expensive but it helped me a lot.
  14. Restoring/rebuilding joints…Paint is the less important thing here as they were only spray painted by the shop that rebuilds joints...gaskets are still old ones as I will be replacing them once installed on the car that was being said to them. Main purpose of saying restored were joints... what is wrong with nuts - cosmetic or something else? They are rebuilding axles for living for 50 years I doubt they would blast what they shouldn’t. before:
  15. We removed remaining trim and windshields and simple shell dolly was welded to move shell down from lift. New rust spot/hole was found hiding under passenger side pop out window. I found color label in which car was repainted back in the days Subframes and its parts were painted. Rear axles were restored.
