  1. Guys I will be restoring gas tank. The one on the right was in the car and the other one I got as spare one. I would be restoring one that will be in better condition if both ones fit. I mesaured space between mounting holes and are the same... one volume is bigger and the throath is longer. Are both e10 tanks and would be correct for 68 2002? Thanks
  2. I checked online here locally since is best to use very fast after pick up. I took 30kg which was enough when I put it in bags so I was able to move it around the floor. 1 kg was 3€ here ... quite expensive but it helped me a lot.
  3. Restoring/rebuilding joints…Paint is the less important thing here as they were only spray painted by the shop that rebuilds joints...gaskets are still old ones as I will be replacing them once installed on the car that was being said to them. Main purpose of saying restored were joints... what is wrong with nuts - cosmetic or something else? They are rebuilding axles for living for 50 years I doubt they would blast what they shouldn’t. before:
  4. We removed remaining trim and windshields and simple shell dolly was welded to move shell down from lift. New rust spot/hole was found hiding under passenger side pop out window. I found color label in which car was repainted back in the days Subframes and its parts were painted. Rear axles were restored.

  6. Small country but we have almost everything to see. I am 10 km out of capital - Ljubljana.
  7. Cleaned as much I could - rest will be grinded of once new floor will be welded in. I will be removing windshields, heater core and some other trim this week. Have a nice Sunday

  9. Nice. Relatives in Slovenia or just traveling?
  10. Subframes were sandblasted and dipped in anticorrosive coating so that all hollow parts will be protected. Next stage is powder coating for final finish. Engine is out and I started taking exterior apart. New floor panels and rear axle supports arrived from W&N

  12. Good thinking Car was from area where there is not so much salt on roads in winter time but after 50 years it was expected that there will be rust since it has been driven a lot.
  13. That would also be an option if floor would be in better condition. Now I will be replacing floor panels and have several weld repairs on arches done. So maybe after everything is replaced so it will be less sections to clean.
  14. We removed thick layer of bitumen from inner wheel walls. Found previous repairs were and some rust as well. Also holes were hiding on both rear axle supports. Grind of bitumen continues so good 20kg of bitumen was removed.
