engine and drivetrain 228mm or 215mm clutch ?

I sent my engine to the machinist and I forgot to measure the clutch. All I have is this photo. Is this a 228 or 215? I'm guessing it's a 228. It's a stock engine from a carbed 73 with a 5 speed tranny.

13mm is like 1/2 an inch diam. Not sure that's detectable from such a pic.

Better would be info in what year & model 2002... That would be easiier to inform you what size clutch you've got, assuming it's stock.

If my memory serves me correct(and after last night, well....) 73's had the 215 clutch. My someone elses has some hard evidence.

I just looked at the 215 and 228mm flywheels hanging on the wall in my garage... the surface area of the 228 extends just-about to the gear teeth, just like what's shown on your photo.

My memory is that all tiis and pre-74 2002s had the larger 228mm clutch, and that the big-bumpered '74 (non-tii) through '75 had the smaller 215mm clutch.

Of course my memory is pretty bad.

'76 is a 215mm.. '74-'76 had 215mm... '74 tii had 228...
